2803B Richard Dr Greenville, NC 27834 United States Trail entrance is pretty hard to find online so here’s the address I pinged on my GPS when we found it. Make sure to veer right and stay close to the lake or else you’re going to have to tread through bull dozed earth. Actual trail is overgrown and in much need of some bush wacking. Wear boots.

There is no designated parking space, and I would recommend to park at the end of the no name street next to the corn field. Much better than parking on Richard drive. The trail goes around lake and this is pretty. However the trail path is not cleaned in many parts which makes the trail with moderate difficulty. Bring tracking polls and be ready to clean your way through overgrown vegetation. It would be nice to fish but there is sign “no fishing”. This is a nice quiet trail with rich bird wild life in the middle of a busy city.

Please keep in mind that this trail system was created by local business for mountain biking, and be respectful of that. The trails are narrow and deep in the woods, a speeding bike could fly around a blind corner and you would both be in trouble, so stay alert. I would not recommend bringing dogs along for this reason. That being said, it is a nice area to hike! Plenty of small hills and valleys keep it interesting. It is completely shaded so even if you are there in the hottest part of the day in July (like my crazy self was) it's not that bad. Except for the fire ants! You really couldn't stop moving or they would be all over you. Even with strong bug spray and tall socks I got a few bites. Like others have said though, there are MANY more trails than just this one, and they crisscross all over the place. It's easy to get turned around because the different trails are not clearly marked when they do intersect. I definitely needed the GPS to find my way out.

trail was poorly marked and there are fire ants everywhere. No exaggeration, if you stop for more than 2 seconds they will latch on and bite you. i would not recommend this trail for hiking, especially if you have kids. the map here on all trails does not match the route you actually take.

Been riding the trail for a few months now, just came from Waco, TX. I road that area a lot and wasn't expecting a trail this far east in NC that could rival what I was used to. Surprise, surprise :) Very nice and very close to Greenville, NC; 30 minutes away or so. Beautiful forested single track and a good variety of challenging climbs, technical descends and level riding.

I did a short forty minutes walk for my first visit. I loved the trail and will definitely go back. Lots of hilly spots and variation so it's not boring.

Normally a great place to get out for a bit. The loop is closed as a result of NC's unprecedented rainfall over the last year. Visit the nature center building to get water testing kits that allow you to participate in collecting data for the wildlife biologists. Lots of activities for kids.

Nice easy walk. Wouldn't call it a hike as it's all flat. choice of just staying on a dirt/somewhat sandy road (great for biking) or a few trails that go into the woods. Gorgeous trees growing in water...Water Tupelo...is what the sign said. Didn't see any wild life other than squirrels. Quiet and peaceful. Easily marked. Would be kid friendly.

Loved this trail. Very wooded but not encroaching on path. Tall trees made for very shade pathways. Started at trailhead closest to cemetery and church. Will def run this one again next time I’m in town... and go further this time!

Very shady trail with only a couple small areas of direct sun. Main path was mainly gravel but had some sandy spots along the way. Not busy at all on a Friday morning. Deer flies were out for sure but that was just motivation to run faster! Main path was wide enough for a car/truck. Offshoot paths were narrow (single person) and little rugged. Would’ve loved the main path to be just a little longer to get a full 5K distance in but it was still a great run! Bug spray is recommended.

This park has 5 trails. The main trail is wide. Paved part way and hard gravel the rest. It is out 1 mike and back 1 mile. You start off walking between the lakes. Then pass through an open field known fir birding. Then enter a cypress swamp portion. Last you finish with a walk along the river. Great variety of scenery makes this a good trail to get your steps in. Completely flat it’s a good trail for all ages and hiking abilities.

Was everything I hoped for in challenge and scenery! Only 2 complaints: I didn’t see any recent reviews mention the $3 daily fee, so wasn’t prepared for that. And only the first loop shows on this app——there’s at least 11 miles to travel, at least 5 untracked in this app. But glad it’s listed here...great find!

I love these trails. Been on the trails out here since the late 90s, they have grown and made constant improvements over the years. Nothing is overly technical or difficult throughout, yet a good challenge if you push your speed. For eastern NC, and as close as the trails are to Greenville, I consider myself lucky. Big thanks to the folks on the trail management squad from ECVELO, BicyclePost, and all others who have dedicated their time/resources. In the near future, I will be volunteering to assist with trail maintenance.

Good course around the Greenville area to train for obstacle course races. I have ridden the course on a mountain bike & ran it on foot, I recommend both.

Really fun trails! A lot of roots but easy to get used to. Really challenging section of switchbacks. It also has a elements from ramps, jumps and seesaws. Make sure to bring a helmet! I highly recommend these trails to all levels.
