Great workout with many going ups and going downs that challenge your body. The trail itself is not the most amazing ever, but great for a workout!

Actually walked parts of the Atlantic Yadkin Greenway, the Country Park Loop, the Guilford Courthouse Loop and Old Battleground Road trails. Walked a total of five miles on a hot, but not very humid, day. Very nice.

SUPER fun trail perfect for after 6pm during week quick hike before dark

this was a great short Trail nestled in Greensboro. This 2.2 mile hike was just what I needed to kick-start the weekend hiking trails

Good bog

This was not the road loop but the interior foot trails, which are completely shaded. It was extremely hot today and I wanted the shady trails. So very nice.

saw 3 beautiful deer, a momma and her twin baby fawns

Actually walked parts of The Atlantic Yadkin Greenway, the Country Park Loop, and the Battleground Park Loop, but not all of any of those trails. My walk was 4.3 miles long and easy.

Walked this trail with my wife and two dogs. Plenty of shade, several places to stop and take a breather. Wonderful woody lake scenery!

Nice trail. Hiked it with my 5 year old and he really enjoyed it. Only passed a few bikes. Pretty wide trail compared to most.

It started off as a nice urban hike. I constantly had to look at my phone and was very surprised when I got a notice from alltrails that I was going the wrong way. That's a first! Ended up walking around a neighborhood on the street to get back to the lake. It also stated that the lake and I think the trail also was private and for members only. The 4 stars (and not 5) is for the constant check on the phone to see where I was AND the smell coming back. It was a trail along with the sewage and it was nasty. I am imagining all the sewage going right into those little creeks (which is probably just sewage) right into the lake.

Besides the weather conditions, It was fun

I enjoyed my run on that trail

I would definitely recommend this trail for a nice moderate hike. It is located at the lake Brandt marina in Greensboro NC. ( 5945 lake Brandt road Greensboro nc). It’s a 6 mile round trip hike with beautiful scenery, trails are along the lake and through the woods. Nice random hills, nothing too steep, but gave a great workout. We went a day after rain and didn’t run into any mud problems. You can tell that there are a few swampy areas that may get muddy and they have placed some boards down to walk on. A few nice bridges to cross which appear new and well maintained. Some places do have a lot of tree roots so you must be careful of them when walking. It Wasn’t overly crowded. We Passed a few people with their dogs with no issues. The gait at the marina opens at 7am and closes at 8pm, but there is parking up top before you get to the the gait that you could go to earlier it appears and take a trail down through the woods to get to the Nathaniel Green Trail. There were a few other trails off of the main trail that we didn’t try, one was a nature trail With an outdoor amphitheater. There are mountain biking trails there also. There are also kayaks to rent for $12 that you could do while there as well. There are bathrooms at the main marina area. We will definitely be going back again.

Woke up real early and got to see the sun rise as I walked the trail. I ended up being the one to knock down all the spider webs for the first couple miles, but someone has to do it that early, lol. Since this hike utilizes multiple trails it’s a lot of fun because there’s different little breaks in between each of the main trails (Greenway, marina, dam). The trail conditions were nice and halfway through Piedmont Trail I could tell that they had just done maintenance and cut back the overgrowth I had seen a few weeks ago. They did a great job! This is a great trail if you’re looking for a longer hike without having to go to far out of town.

Full disclosure, I am fascinated by the American Revolution, so read on at your own peril. The park has a very nice trail network that encompasses most of the battlefield, and ties into an app to tell you more about it; it was really nice for me, as my friends and I had spent the last few months wargaming this battle in miniature. It was very warm the morning I hiked it, but I was impressed with the state of the battlefield, and the relatively few monuments on it. Thoroughly enjoyable.

This was a fun and challenging trail with elevation changes and roots and rocks causing challenging footwork through parts. The View was enjoyable of the lake and would definitely do this 11 Mile loop trail again! agree with the moderate rating only because of the length and some of the elevation increases. Go try it it's great!

Lots of shade to shield you from the heat. The trail is well marked and maintained.

The trail had a few downed trees that hadn’t been cleared yet. The red clay is hard packed, making it an easy walk or trail run. It’s been dry lately, so we weren’t dealing with mud. Without much foot traffic, we walked through a forest’s worth of webs. You’re welcome to the two cars who showed up after us. I wish there was a way to connect the trails in the state park more to the Haw River. And one tick was successfully located and removed—there’s signage warning of ticks at the trailhead. Heed the warning.

I really liked this trail. It’s not meant to be a technical trail but had great scenery with the lake and plenty of wildlife along the way. I really enjoyed all the foot bridges. Trail was maintained well with not many roots or rocks. Definitely a great trail to bring the family on.

Nothing exciting, nothing boring. A combination of trails, so follow the map on AllTrails to make sure you hit all three. Quiet and peaceful little jaunt.

Nice trail mostly in woods with several lake views. Trailhead has moved since the new soccer fields were built. To access, turn onto Townsend Rd toward fields 1-13. Go to end. Trailhead is between fields 12 and 13. See attached picture.

Nice, well maintained trail but frequent crossings of busy streets make for irritating bicycle rides.

Beautiful, easy hike.

This trail is badly storm damaged. Multiple storms. Trees down, bridges damaged, etc. Will take a major effort to restore. Most of the trail has been officially closed for at least 6 months. Great trail otherwise.

Trail was absolutely beautiful. There was room for about 2 people to walk side by side. I brought my dog and he loved it as well. Plenty of shade throughout but only about 3 benches to take a break on. Am definitely going to come back!
