Great Wall with the kids. It’s paved all the way so it’s excellent for little ones that need a stroller. We saw plenty of people on bikes and it truly is a great biking trail. I highly recommend it to parents. You start at a children’s park and end at another children’s park. It allows you to take a break while the kids play at the park so you can walk back to your vehicle. The trail does get flooded during the rain season so that’s why I deducted one star.

So beautiful even in the winter. I can not wait to make this a monthly hike to see the changes. just over 2 miles of trails and flowers.

Only hiked 1.5 miles of Greenway, but will definitely return to do more. Would be nice to have some signage along the way

Nice stroll along a paved greenway loop around the main section of Cary Park Lake. Saw a great heron. Good for bikers, strollers, kids, dog-walkers, trail runners. Connects with other greenways.

Giving this five stars just to offset the idiot who gave it one star for "no dogs". Nobody wants your dog here.

Beautiful. Free. Accessible year round so different flora during different seasons.

Dogs are NOT allowed on this trail!

Great trail, very pretty and you can go all year round and it will be a different experience.

It a nice walk around the lake easy on the knees

great getting the kids out when they were young biking. dangerous if trying to log miles on a road bike and keep a 10mph pace. kids or dogs jump in front of you. never the less get out very early and log some miles. great bridges nice river views. after heavy rains and flooding expect trail damage

A nice place for a simple stroll and time to sit and read or view the many different types of flowers

Nice flat walk, packed gravel is easy to walk on, and lighted for evening walks. Some sections can be muddy after a rain storm. Finding parking can be difficult. Grass not trimmed and a lot of glass on the sidewalks. Be careful of pups paws.

Nice area to walk!

Nice location near UNCC, Mallard Creek Church Rd parking lot is small and could fill up fast. Review photo for upcoming work that may shut portions in the next few weeks.

Nice quiet greenway, can be accessed on Hwy 54 near Northwoods Elementary at the intersection of Hwy 54 and Boundary St. or a better access is next to either the Godbold Park Dog Park (paved) or behind the Godbold tennis courts and playground (dirt path off the circle). Goes behind neighborhoods and features a couple of bridges.

This is a greenway and not a trail. It's paved or gravel--no dirt. For this reason it can get really hot in the summer compared to a wooded trail because the vast majority of the trail is not shaded. It's an okay trail for getting a feel for your mountain bike if you've never ridden before, but even beginners will be board to death on this trail in my opinion. This is a take your kid on their training wheel bike trail. So for that sort of thing it’s perfect. Or maybe not, given that there is an unbelievable amount of dog poop and duck poop on the trail. Magnitudes more poop than on any other greenway or trail we've ridden in the Charlotte MSA. Never seen a more poopy trail in my life.

this is our second favorite trail just nudging out 4 mile (Squirrel Lake Park). only because it's a lot longer trail.

Good run/jog!

Although we only walked 1 mile into the trail, I loved what I saw so far. I can’t wait to come back with my bike to see the whole trail.

Great paced trail most of the way. Some crushed gravel trails. Along a creek. Lots of birds and other nature. Nice pond about half way.

Rode the trail today and part of Clark’s Creek. Both are very nice for a relaxing causal ride.

Lovely, beautiful gardens for an easy stroll or brisk walk. My adult son and I visited in April, impromptu.. as we were just walking around the area and walked past the gates. Glad we stopped in.

My son and I walked all around the Duke Gardens. It was drizzling most of the time, but it was still very beautiful. We had fun watching the turtles and frogs in the smaller pond in the south eastern part of the garden.

smaller trails around the park off of Monroe. They run crosscountry events there. Good trail for a city.

Easy and beautiful

When last I did it it was from spindale to the lumber mill in Gilkey, so about what this shows. very fun trail for biking. Pretty good amount of traffic but nice serene environment in some points and a small town historic feel through others. It's a good walk if you're looking for a walking trail, but if you want real hiking you might be a bit bored
