A pretty walk, but nothing spectacular. Really close to the road, so we could hear traffic the whole time.

Nice, easy hike. You can extend past the 3.1 by continuing along the sidewalk on the main road if you want. We took our dog with us and he loved it. Nice and shaded, which was great on this hot July day. There were also kids playing in the water near the bridge - so easy to take a dip if you get hot. We saw about a dozen elk near the beginning/end of the trail on our way back (super close, too!), which was cool.

Hiked to camp 53. Quiet walk with some steep switchbacks near the trailhead. The camp was settled right on the creek.

Great Trail. Loved the trail being near the river almost the entire way, as well as the rocky "beahces" available for stops throughout. Also, we saw at least 5 different elk throughout our walk, which lasted from about 11:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Great trail and the kids lives jumping in the river around .6 miles into the hike right before the bridge. Would hike again!

Very easy walk along the river. Used heavily but well maintained. Favorite among locals. I have seen birds, squirrels, deer and elk while on this trail. Some people use this as a light jogging trail in the mornings like I did. Has a little bridge and a few benches to sit and rest on along the way. There are a few story boards on this trail that tell of the Cherokee history. This trail is easy enough for older folks too. There are a few access points to the river with small beaches and you pass under a bridge. Lovely little walk. Seems like only a mile and a half walk.

This is one of my most favorite hikes in the smokies. The terrain is manageable if hailed from the top down. Through the whole trail from start to finish you will experience the vast wild flowers that the smokies are famous for. The trail was in excellent shape given the amount of rain it had a week before. Very few campers in the area.

Easy hike with kids. Beautiful wildflowers!

Very nice trail - it’s really a stroll through the woods along a river. Some really nice spots for picture taking. The kids were feeling too adventurous for the paved path so we took the dirt path closer to the river. It was beautiful.

Great family trail

Easy walk along a scenic river. Enjoyed the small storyboard along the trail explaining Cherokee legends and customs relating to the river and explaining its importance to the Cherokee. Hike was great for us with two young children. Great for families. Was also really peaceful since we didn’t see many people along the trail. We went in December so not sure if would be more crowded during the summer months, but it was not crowded when we went, which was really nice.

This is a nice little hike/walking trail along a beautiful section of river. We saw several elk in the wood near the beginning. Great for dogs and young kids.

We loved this trail...we obtained a backcountry camping permit and stayed at halfway point....will definately do it again

Very pretty and a good workout.

Was a nice flat trail . Nice trail to just relax and admire the beauty of the mountain valley !

Like strolling through a park by the river.

Like strolling through a park by the river.

Great trail. Love having the water along side the trail. A little rocky in spots but worth it. Peaceful and not a lot of traffic.

This trail was extremely difficult with a backpack straight up for over an hour then straight down for another 45 or so. The you tube video that guy made for fishing was awesome but he neglected to mention how tough it was coming in and out. I can't say I caught a ton of fish because I didn't so that would've made the trip much, much better. The area was beautiful and river was gold water, never seen anything like it.

We've done this trail a few times because we bring our dog to North Carolina with us and this is one of two trails in the Smokies that allows dogs. This is a very easy 3 mile total trip mostly along the water. There are a few spots you can stop off to let your dog swim and splash around in the river. Much prefer taking our dog to Pisgah since there are "real" hikes there rather than just walks and there are no restrictions on bringing your dog. Wish the Smokies would allow dogs, for this reason we will almost always go to Pisgah instead.

Great hike with our 2 dogs along the river and through the forest. Even a few areas that you or your pooches can refresh in the river.1 of only 2 hikes in Great Smoky Mountains that you can bring your dogs. It is located just outside Cherokee, NC.

Very peaceful, super easy hike. We didn't see much wildlife, but we hiked it in the middle of the day. Appropriate for even the out of shape hiker.

Easy hike and we could take the dogs with us!!!

Done it a few times and have seen elk, otters and more.

Bradley Fork is one of our go to trails for a nice relaxing stroll along the creek year round. Chasteen Creek trail is a nice scenic hike as well, though once past the cascades it increases upwards to a pretty good workout before getting to Hughes Ridge Trail.
