Was great for the dogs. Totally shaded. Flat. Little other traffic. Loved it.

Very walkable although not too scenic. The traffic from the highway is a nuisance

A wide, mostly flat, grassy 1.2-mile trail leads you around a large field packed with butterflies, birds and flowering vegetation in July. The Big Field Trail is visually stunning. The trail is good for walking (with or without dogs) and running. The Meadow Trail (about .5 miles) is narrower with a steeper grade and takes you through the woods to a smaller meadow.

Beautiful! Love it. Agree with moderate rating. Done nice inclines but not Overehelming.

This place was so great! Trails are nicely marked and there are many trails to pick one! Today I took my bulldog with me and we picked the blue trail! The bike trail was a quick and easy walk, just enough for us to get out and enjoy some sunshine! The trails are nicely kept up and there was no trash in sight! Can’t wait to go again!

Walk this park a lot

Great hike! Well marked trails... good hills but not to hilly

Nice loop next to Rt 104 so it is fairly loud. Nice ponds and well maintained trail with workout stages along the way

Trails are very well marked but this is a busy place. If you don't mind that, it's worth checking out.

Love this park! All the trails are well marked and well maintained. Great variety of terrain - woodsy and then beautiful meadows of wildflowers.

Beautiful place to visit!

Nice trails!

Nice small trail. Great for dogs!

Being in my 70s, and handicapped, I walk with a cane and a leg brace, I look for easy trails that offer A bucolic surrounding in pleasing vistas. This paved well traveled trail certainly fits the bill.

This is a very nice hike - 2nd time on this one - about 4 miles or so if you do the outer edge of the trails. Good combination of in the woods and some open fields. I wish it went all the way up to the water - the top point you can see the water across the road and through someone's yard. The creeks were pretty dry - which makes sense this late in the season I was almost expecting more water due to all the rain we've had.

Love all the Scout Eagle projects and Girl Scout projects on this trail. Very impressive and informative.

Trail was really well marked with signs posted at each crossing of another trail. Very well maintained with brush and trees cleared to not interfere with the paths. We hiked the blue, red, orange, yellow and then red again for a total of five miles. Had a few elevation changes but overall was pretty flat. You hike mainly through woods but will also come across a meadow on the blue and orange trails.

Great trail

Nice tight trail to hike. Connects to the whiting road trails if you want to extend your hike a bit

Great hike. Muddy but that's to be expected this time if year. Very well marked trails with maps at many intersections.

Nice, easy trail with bridges and boardwalks over the creeks. In addition to the blue and red trails, a yellow trail is being added in the eastern section of the preserve. (As of February 2017, the yellow trail is not yet shown on the "You Are Here" signs, but there are yellow blazes on trees.)

Love walking out on the pier near sunset. Look for mink between the big rocks that line the pier!

Nice, simple trail for walking your dog. There is a little offshoot between VanAlstyne and Drumm that takes you down to the creek. Best in summer and fall. Very muddy in sections during springtime.

Long paved circular track. Great for running and exercise. Not for hiking. Watch out for goose dropping

Ran into a nest of bees at the beginning of our walk, so that definitely set a negative tone. We brought our two large dogs, so did not like having to cross roads to continue on the trail. The dogs liked the creek running next to the trail, and the whole trail was well maintained!

This is a terrific resource for a local county park. It is open year round. It has beautiful grounds, moderately challenging topography and has a verity of different trails. Much more than six miles. Get the big picture of this area on the map before heading to get the best combination of this county park, which is adjacent to a large area of town preserve. A local gem.

Note that this interfaces with the pier on Lake Ontario which can be fished. Best place to see sunsets over the Lake in Summer.

Amazing every year! The staff is amazing! Go here to camp with family! Fire pits, big sites, playground for kids, huge open fields, moderate trails (nothing too hard for an adventurous 4 yr old to handle), bathrooms and showers in good condition! Only thing is the the lady who works here (Dee) has been here for 20+ years and the local Monroe County Administration is taking away the warm cozy feeling you used to get here! Bee coming for years and now it still a campground just not the warm, cozy, family atmosphere anymore! :(

Camped and hiked not too bad for a city area! For most part was quiet and relaxing. Trails are super easy so for a beginner a good area to start out in. 8/29/2015
