Amazing place every corner turn was awe inspiring. Lots of foot traffic with great reason because of the amazing views! Although there were lots of people, even on a misty day it didn’t take away from the experience. Lots of stairs, so if your traveling with younger children this could be a challenge for them. It’s a short hike but the steps and incline makes it feel like it’s a longer hike it maybe a bit of a challenge but totally doable. I’m so glad I finally got to go here it’s an amazing place to see! Totally recommended.

Absolutely breathtaking. Will go again

Very crowded and but great views and a good hike. Lots of picturesque spots

Stunningly beautiful scenery. One of the best hikes ever! Be careful on the Indian Trail down. Several splits on the trail.

Completed this hike on Sunday 9/23/2018. It was VERY crowded, but so worth the 4 hour drive.

Stunning beauty at every turn. Wonderfully kept trail.

The park is free, however, parking is $8. There is a gift shop, visitor center and clean restrooms.
We arrived just after noon and had no issue finding parking. The trail begins with good signage - literally follow the sidewalks and hordes of people.

The waterfalls are lovely and lots of steps. I'd call this trail Easy not Moderate.

dogs are not allowed on this trail which is a total bummer but it's for good reason.

The gorge is beautiful but the hike itself is a tourist trap. You don’t feel like you’re escaping in nature but just part of another tourist attraction.

Less crowded trail on the way back from the top of the gorge trail.

Second time walking this trail, got there really early in the morning on a Monday and it was dead empty, great for photos. Last time I went was closer to 10am on a weekend day and was pretty busy.

Hiked back in June 2018, and previously in 2013. Great trail, train bridge is fun to go on but sketchy if you are afraid of heights, something like 175' over the creek below

Absolutely beautiful. Definitely more touristy then I thought but surprisingly didn’t effect my experience. We took a ton of great pictures

Absolutely Beautiful! A must go! The hike is rated correctly as moderate - mainly because of the amount of steps.

Very nice hike! It is like a scene from Lord of the Rings.

Gorge trail is a gorgeous one and must do!

too many people today not fun

Start this trail as early as possible as it becomes so crowded and filled with tourists. This entire trail has such an amazing atmosphere and is truly one of a kind.

Pleasant forest hike. Very quiet-- we didn't meet anyone else until the last two miles inside Watkins Glen State Park. Parts of it could use some trail maintenance. The stream crossing at Julie's Crossing was a complete washout the day we were there.

Beautiful hike through the Gorge! A moderately difficult hike mainly due to slippery rocks, stairs, and tourists stopping to take pictures. The view of the rocks and waterfalls along the path were wonderful. I will definitely be back!

Nice trail, no view. Don’t miss the gorge trail - that one is breath taking!

We drove 7 hours, specifically for this hike. We started at the main entrance on Franklin, but wIth all of the recent rain, this trail was only open for the first 1/2 mile. From there we took Lover’s Lane to the Indian Trail to the end at the north entrance. What we saw of the gorge trail was absolutely amazing! No views from the Indian Trail though. Closed toe shoes are a must, we were happy to have our hiking boots as some spots were wet and muddy. This trail is an absolute must do if you are in the area.

DON'T TAKE THE INDIAN TRAIL... We started hiking gorge and from Jacob's ladder we headed back on Indian trail, the gorge trail as the name suggests is awesome but gets crowded but worth it. The Indian trail has maybe 1-2 viewing points and it doesn't have anything that makes us feel that we are at a glen... So just make sure you get back in the gorge itselff

The trail and scenery along it are lovely. However this place is way too touristy for my liking. A lot of people seem to have no concept of trail etiquette and it blows my mind how many people wear flip flops to do this! It’s wet and slippery even when it hasn’t been raining! Please don’t be a hazard to yourself or others!

A beautiful hike for all ages. Not to hard. Being able To see the narrows, waterfalls, bridges all in one hike. It does get crowded but was still very enjoyable.
