Love how beautiful the scenery is on this trail! Great local place to go for a relaxing walk! This is definitely a family friendly, popular trail.

I love this trail! It's so pretty and interesting any time of the year. It's an easy walk, and a decent length. There's lots of wildlife in the area too, I've seen lots of deer, bald eagles, and my favorite - fish crows!

We rode hybrid bikes from Waterford to Upper Newtown Rd in Halfmoon and the trail varied greatly along the way. Paved, dirt, gravel, stone dust all in part. The area around Momentive easy to follow, gravel on top of the landfill road but paved on the slopes up and down making it safer. We rode about half a mile north in the grass north of Upper Newtown to steel plates over a broken bridge that was a bit scary, and so overgrown just after that that we headed back. Really enjoyed our day, give it a try!

Excellent trail! Definitely will do again

great conditions!

Beautiful scenery... well marked trails!!

Great easy hike. Great place to get up close and personal with the wildlife.

Trail is very well kept and an enjoyable experience.

Lively trail. Easy stroll with great views

With only less than a handful of small inclines, this was really an easy walk. Don’t recommend for strollers or those with wheelchairs or walkers. We walked the entire perimeter and I felt the park could consider putting up some sort of safety barriers due the the steep cliffs all the way around, even though the paths are a decent width and you can avoid being right near the edge. This is a very well cared for path with many benches and picnic tables to sit at along the way. Absolutely stunning views!

Getting into the parking lot is a little confusing, but otherwise a pleasant experience. The trails are maintained and generally wide enough for 2-4 people wide. A great place to merge history and nature together into a pleasant hike or run. Carry in/carry out policy with the exception of dog cleanup stations at pavilion and trailhead. For an added experience you can kayak in/out vice drive. Also includes footbridges to surrounding islands for additional views/exploration. Trails are easily marked, and young kid friendly. I did this trail with 2 energetic dogs, wife and 3 kids spanning 5-12 in age.

great views and nice wide trails. heavily trafficked and unique as it is literally an island. dont bring children under 10. It is elevated and there are 2 dozen spots where trail is on edge of 30-40 ft shale cliff death falls.

Amazing trail!!! Saw three herons, a big group of fish, and three deer, including a fawn. Lots of good views of the water and waterfalls. My favorite trail ever!!!

This was a nice trail through the woods along the river. I took my 6 y/o daughter for a Daisy Girl Scout Scavenger Hunt along with my 10 month old (backpack) and husband. There's plenty of places to safely wonder off and explore and continue on. The volunteer staff was very friendly. Plenty of places to grab a picnic and rest. Not many hills and the trail is pretty clear. I would totally do this again.

Great place to run, trails marked very well!! Ground was dry and hard so footing was good!

This is an amazing little oasis for wildlife and hiking outside Troy , on the Hudson River. We saw two deer and many small furry friends like chipmunk and woodchuck. There are great spots on the cliff by the Hudson with a gorgeuous view. After your hike, find Muddaddy flats on 3rd street and refuel with quesadillas and ice cream

very easy and relaxing

a little rocky and a few roots. But its nicely shaded by the trees in the summer and no pavement! Bald eagles, deer, herons and wildlife. And nice views of the river.

This was a nice, easy trail with lots of breeze and shadow from the trees. we were able to observe fish, turtles, birds, ducks and

Was weary of this place due to the location....(adk’s brat, here). This place was gorgeous! Saw so many deer and even baby deer! Could walk right up to them. Bald eagle spotted during trip. Trails are very well maintained! Tons of little in between paths and beautiful views. High recommend a day trip with the family here! Some steep slopes into the Mohawk though so keep an eye on your kids!!

Always nice on Peebles. Lots of shades. Trail in very good condition. Nice scenery.

great views awesome trail

my all time favorite trail!

Easily accessible with ample parking. Great place to bring leashed dogs, but fresh clean water is hard to access for them so BYO. Strong preference toward the perimeter trail for it's various water views. Inside trail is mostly woods and fields. Have spotted several deer there as well as some turkeys. A few picnic tables can be found on the outer trail. Can get busy on the weekends. A nice place for a walk in the morning or evening.
