Really awesome, hiked in the rain and it was incredible. Lots of mountain biking trails, the XC trail at the top is a complete loop so you gotta hike to it but these trails are well worth the hike!! I uploaded a detailed map (picture) of all the trails, seriously take some time a hike a few, or all! You won't regret it!!

Provides great access to Boughton Park in Bloomfied-- the park has a parking area only for those with permits (residents of West and East Bloomfield and Victor) so the rest of us can hike in using this AllTrails route. A few pointers: as others have noted, drive past The Apple Farm, turn right on Cherry Street and park on the asphalt just before the little farm house. Walk down the road, past the farm house and along the field. You will see a red marked trail to the right but do not take that! Continue to the end of the field and you will see a red marked trail to the left that takes you around the field and up into the woods. Stay red all the way until the red trail runs straight ahead into a blue marked trail (and red turns left). Stay straight onto the blue all the way to the ponds. It's about a mile and a half to the ponds from your car.
As we returned to our car today, we met up with I think a gelded steer (?) on the path- I am not very cattle-savvy. Very friendly but scared of my dog who began barking and the bovine galloped back to the herd.
Anyway, this is about the best hike in the area! Enjoy!

This place might be in my top 5 for local hikes. It was beautiful! It could also be because it was the first nice day we had in a looooong time but it was still pretty even if it was really muddy. The other reviews are accurate - the trail isn't always easy to see. But if you use the app to track your trail it is fine, or if you just keep the pond to one side of you, you will be good. There is another starting point off Stirnie Road we passed - a bigger parking lot so that could be an option. It would also cut the hike down as getting to the pond and back was half the hike. Great area if you want to picnic, too. I highly recommend it.
** The way in AllTrails is closed May 1-31 for Turkey Season - and likely Oct threw Dec for other hunting seasons **

It’s a nice trail to do with small children, but mud is a problem. Not much variety to see but a nice walking trail. I’ve been twice where owners didn’t leash their dogs and one time was s problem attacking another dog

Does this park require permits?

We parked on the side of the road and made our way up the dead end road past the farm house.

There was a clear snowmobile trail to the right that we passed and continued down the road.

Beautiful area with plenty to see. In summer it must be lovely!

There is no indication that your in the right spot for the trail. Lucky for me there was someone already there who knew where to go. Your going to walk past the farm house and continue down the dirt road and the trail is off that. Unfortunately I was looking for a nice fall hike, but the trail had signs that it was closed due to hunting. I would suggest looking the trails up on a different source than this app cause they do not indicate weather or not the trails are open.I was not going to risk hiking it in hunting season, so I cannot fully review the trail.

Beautiful Park! Great blend of tree covered and open areas, well maintained, little muddy in a few spots but manageable. Loved that it didn't feel like you were on a trail in some spots with the leaves down. And my dog loved exploring the area too!

Easy in/out, went when the pond had flipped and the whole area smelled like sulfur. Yuck.

Nice area to hike. There are many trails crossing this trail . However it is not well marked as to where each goes. With better signs would rate higher. It is easy to follow a trail if you know what color path you want.

It starts near a farm but you're at the right place! Didn't finish but got up to the apple farm and was certainly even nice up to there.

Beautiful scenery. Easy to walk. Easy trails. Much to see. Access to water. Pet friendly. Not too long. Amazing overall. Highly recommend. Definitely would go back!!

Definetly more for mountain biking versus hiking. A ton of different trails depending on level of experience.

Excellent place for mountain biking. I would not go there to hike, but tons of looping interconected trails, with a slalom and jumps. This place is great!

Very nice hike. Trails were clean of debris, but as usual for spring hiking, pretty wet in areas. I like the mix of wooded trails, open meadowlands and streams.

Was thrown off at first because trail starts near a farm house. Once I knew I was in the right spot it was a great hike. Great trail.

Beautiful late autumn hike. Scenic, well-marked trail.

A well maintained local park with several trail options. We tried to walk the outer perimeter; about 2 miles. The park is about 50% wooded and 50% meadow, with a small stream running along the north side. Port-O-Pots are located at the two main entrances to the park.

The reviews on here lead me to believe it was a loop trail. Reality is that it is a lot of interconnecting trails specifically designed for biking. Lots of switchbacks that even my dog got tired of after awhile.
Even with the map from entrance kiosk, it was confusing and bikers asked me for directions since I had a map.
For hikers, I suggest to go on a weekday. Sunday afternoon was definitely a prime time for bikers.

Hike was decent with picking and choosing the harder rated trails. Spent 2 hours and was very accessible for small dog. Dogs MUST be on leash so as not to be hit by bikers.

I go hiking to relax and see nature. With all the bikers there was little nature and looking behind me for bikers was not relaxing. Looked great for biking but I wouldn't hike there again.

Went a couple days ago, snow pack was good. Very easy, nothing all to special to see but a great place to bring my dog for a walk. Just make sure in the winter you have a dog who knows a command not to go in the creek.
