The parking lot is clearly marked with a brown state forest sign. It's a lovely hike. You start off passing through meadows, cross a bridge over a pretty gurgling stream, and begin to head up into the woods. There is a steep and steady ascent for the first 1/2 of the hike and then it levels out a bit and winds and undulates along the ridge and through the woods for another mile or so. The trail is well marked. We began to wonder if we had perhaps missed the outlook and gone too far, but you can't miss the overview when you get there, and the trail clearly ends. You will know when you have arrived! The return is much faster. It took us a little over 1 1/2 hours to get to the outlook; and we returned in about an hour. We were going, I imagine, a pretty average, moderate pace.
