Beautiful trail! The bear caves were very neat to see. My only complaint was that it’s not a loop.

A nice trail, but at about the halfway point it got pretty muddy. Made the 2nd and 3rd mile pretty slow and and challenging. The 1000+ foot elevation change made the hike worthwhile. BTW the posted signs all call this the Bee-hunter trail and it was 6+ miles round trip.

It was a nice, short walk! However it’s more of a cabin loop than a walk through the forest

Very neat park to do some exploring around the several building size rock formations. Picnic area is available.

Note to travelers who are coming to this trailhead from the north. I highly recommend taking 219 into Bradford Pa. and turn right onto Interstate Parkway. It does appear to take longer to get to the trailhead from the AllTrails app instructions provided us to take (seasonal road) Limestone Rd to Ridge Run to Allegheny State Park Rte 2 to Allegheny State Park Rte 3. However, these roads are extremely rough for regular vehicles (car) and even with going at a snails pace, bottomed out once or twice. Risking car damage and very slow speed it not worth gaining a few minutes. The trail was an easy hike and well marked.

The trail was quite wet in spots today but very passable. Wear hiking boots and it will be fine. Saw a few wild flowers and heard some birds...pleasant trail.

Steep climb up in the beginning and the fire tower was a cool place to take a break. Being a teenager, I climbed up the firetower when it was wet. Don't do it, theres nothing up there other than graffiti. There is no shortcut in the trail like I thought so I did the whole trail and it was beautiful. Be sure to have a ride waiting for you because it was a long trudge back to the campground for me.

Nice area, with amazing rock formations! Could spend hours exploring the tight rock crevices. Does have admission fee, but well worth it. Friendly proprietors....visited on Mother’s Day and mothers were admitted free. As a side note: Bathrooms are clean and unique.

Beautiful forest trail. There was 12-18 inches of snow on the trail the day we did it, so really slow going. Covered in snow, it was hard in some places to figure out where the trail was. We've done this trail in the summer as well and the trail is easy to find when it's not covered in snow. Note that the trail is marked, both at the trailhead and on the trail markers, as the Beehunter trail. The full loop is also about 6.5 miles rather than 5.3.

Lot of tree's down, kind of difficult snowshoeing.

Great trail just need better markers.

We walked this trail yesterday with our son and chihuahua. It had a nice elevation and loop around. It was a beautiful day and nice views of forest, but basically all the same view:)

great easy trail. really nice for family treks

Definitely a moderate trail. My son (6y) and I are new to hiking, so we felt it was not hard but not easy. Very rocky and rooty.

not quite what I was expecting but a nice short walk through the woods, it was nice!

Fire Tower is rotted away could not go up tower, very little photo opportunities, pretty disappointing. The trail itself was okay though

Beautiful scenery. We did it with 3 kids under 8 and they loved it.

We did the fire tower portion of Mount Tuscarora Trail which is approximately 5.2 miles round trip. the first mile or so was pretty steep but we made it through and were rewarded with an easy to moderate hike across the ridge of the mountain to the fire tower. I was expecting to be able to climb the fire tower to get some nice pictures of the surrounding Lake and mountains but the fire tower was run down and even though we could still climb the view is obstructed by many large trees so no photograph opportunity was available. overall the hike was rough for the minimum amount of Photography opportunities. we did get to take a picture of our first sighting of a deer while we were up there and a bright orange mushroom but other than that not a lot to write home about.

Just hiked about half of this trail yesterday. Don't be scared of the uphill beginning! It's a good climb, but it's beautiful forest under the tree canopy and once you hit he ridge top it's really flat. Because of time constraints and being with an inexperienced hiker, we were planning on just hiking to the fire tower and back. We got maybe 5 minutes away from the tower and a black bear cub popped out into the trail about 100 feet or so ahead of us. We and the cub just froze and looked at each other...we started to back away and he took off and ran. We didn't know where mama was and there was also a storm coming and we could hear thunder, so we just decided to turn around and head back. We maybe got 2 miles deep (4 round trip). Great trail, very very well marked. Can't wait to go back and do the whole thing!

This is the Mt. Tuscarora Trail in the Allegany State Forest in the Southern Tier. It's a nice little hike up to a fire tower which you would have to be crazy to climb yet based on the graffiti some have. Not much in the way of views but it is still nice with the sun shining through the leaves.

Great trail in a beautiful area of the park. Steep climb to start the trail with overall elevation gain for the first half of the trail, with the back half being primarily downhill. Very well defined trail, nearly impossible to get lost. Dirt trail, so it can be very muddy (and will be if it has rained within the past few days), which pushes the difficulty up. Highly recommended.

Make sure you don't rely on google maps to find it, we lost reception and never found it. We'll try again next year.

I loved this trail!!! The caves at the beginning were awesome and fun to climb on. The rest of the hike was tough but beautiful!

Despite all the rain overnight this trail remained reasonably dry. Nice hike.

wet as can be this weekend but great in woods trail

Nice shorter hike with a steady incline

Trail is 2.7 miles, not 1.7. Trailhead is a good distance from parking. Wide trail, gentle but frequent hills, currently a few downed trees.
