Trail is pretty easy. Some mud here & there but overall easy hike. Not anything overexciting.

Very dry considering all the recent rain. Very few bugs. Not crowded at all.

absolutely gorgeous trail but the park has it listed as 5.5 miles and "most difficult " the first 1/4 m is indeed straight up and a bit treacherous coming down. I wouldn't want to take kids who were small or not experienced. There is poison ivy on the trail and thorn bushes, long pants are appropriate. I did it with my rottweiler and had to off leash him on the way down so he didn't kill me, we hiked it as the sun was going down... the scenery was amazing with the coloring of sunset. gonna do it again today.

Good trail over all, low traffic. The end is a bit muddy if you go right at the beginning. I recommended this trail for anyone. Cool, well built bridges.

Great trail, I did this while it was raining but lots of good spots over all. Some logs fallen in the path but they are cleared. Muddy in spots but easy to get around. Lots of deer as well.

Great trail, very good workout going up. Well maintained and marked. On a bad note! I have to say that it amazes me that people just chuck there trash on the trail, how ignorant! Makes me wonder what there homes look like!

We hiked yesterday (Mother’s Day) and really enjoyed the trail nice ups and downs. Hats off to who ever maintains the area we saw no trash and found it very easy to follow (great markers along the way). Took the five of us under 3hrs to complete the loop. Yes muddy in spots but all good!

I was very cold weather on May 9. Muddy in somewhere but no so bad. Was cold 32 F and snow and wind. But we enjoyed

Very well marked, pretty and a good length to push the kids. In the spring, there isn’t much shade, but it was a really pretty route.

First half of the Snowsnake portion has some muddy and wet spots. Not a very exciting hike but fairly well groomed on the second half.

Good trail, but not great. Kinda boring with no major views or vistas. Used for cross country skiing so the trail is pretty wide.

We really liked this trail, it was a nice surprise when we went last weekend. Drove out to the park for the day and wanted to be in a more secluded area. Be prepared to hike uphill! The trail is marked well and muddy in a few spots but nothing to slow you down. Took less than an hour and a half. We will probably return!

Started with about .5 mile uphill. Lots of roots and rocks on mountain for a couple miles. Then a very muddle valley for about 1.5; couldn't even walk on the trail but had to make our own as close to it as possible. The process repeats on the second half.

Nice little workout, lots of elevation. Varying landscape: blocky rocks, grassy floor, old growth trees. Muddy along the trail in lower patches. Not hard to avoid but try to stay on trail.

Super fun short hike. Trail was still muddy and snowy but no spikes or snowshoes were needed. The NY/PA border marker is at about the halfway point but is small and not super obvious unless you’re looking for it. Would like to do this hike in the summer but I imagine it’d be buggy.

This trail is well maintained, and was surprisingly dry for April. If you take Patterson then Snowsnake (opposite of this map, counterclockwise) you go straight downhill for 3 miles then up-down back. Nice straight trees, and a couple cool creeks on the Patterson side. I would like to run this trail.
