BEWARE - TICKS!!! My dog and I each had THOUSANDS of embedded seed ticks after an hour walk on this trail, requiring medical attention. I will never go here ever again. 9-2-18

hiked this trail several times now. will not go back until late fall. ticks are VERY bad!! over 50 removed from the dog. all types including those hard to see deer ticks. avoid this trail! too bad because it's a very beautiful walk

Lovely surprise to find the trail path wide so no worry about ticks. Started at the Mashashamuet Park area, parking on Bridgehampton Sag Harbor Turnpike side of the park near the playground. Lots of turnoffs available to futher explore the different lakes. I walked the RR path to the end and back. Took about 2 hours total.

Feeding the birds sunflower seeds is the sweetest way to enjoy this park’s trails. A few seeds in the outstretched palm of your hand and, if you remain still, a chickadee will alight onto your hand and nibble away. Kids love it!

Lovely winter day hike. Not too cold to hike but cool enough to keep the ticks at bay. Did this one counterclockwise; made a right at the fork. Woodsy and secluded yet well maintained. My rough collie Scully was in her glory. Pleasantly surprised that there was more meandering and hills than I expected, but just follow the blue diamond trail markers throughout and you're golden. Got a nice view of the bay and North Fork and golf course at the northern most point of the trail. Definitely going back.

Great for the dogs!

Great trail. Did this one solo on my lunch break from work. Took a little longer then I expected, but well worth it. Lots of hills which made for a good workout. Lots of squirrel, saw a deer too. Seemed to be several trails, which had me uncertain which was which at first. but the all trails recorder helped me out. Overall a great hike and will do it again.

Very easy, flat trail. If you want to feed the birds, they like the black seeds and it's better to go in the off season, it's less crowded, quieter, and you'll get more birds!

I liked it. Real woodsy. It felt secluded for most of the hike. It's harder than it looks. Very windy with subtle hills that make you feel like you've had a good workout by the time you're done.

Moderate trail with beautiful views of the ponds. Can be strenuous as there are many small inclines along the path.

Absolutely loved this trail!! Visited family on LI and decided to take make 3 year old niece, who completed the entire loop. Had a joyous time introducing my niece to different species of birds and instilling in her my love of the outdoors.

Great for viewing AND feeding, from the palm of your hand, winter birds like sparrow, titmouse, chickadee. Cardinal and Blue Jay will come real close if you seed the ground near you and stay real still.

Great views!! Nice trails! Unfortunately, we couldn't find unsalted sunflower seeds to feed the birds as that is what is recommended so we watched everyone else feed them lol. Plenty of chipmunks, turtles, birds, swans and a ton of turkeys. Walk down to the beach and watch the ospreys.
