pretty okay, beautiful river provides a nice swimming hole & scenic shale cliffs. green & lush forest.

I use this trail often and I love it. It’s been so dry that Rainbow Falls is dried up right now. Oh well. However they’ve done some work on the trail and fixed/replaced some signs.

It was a nice trail. There needs to be a bit markings Along the trail. We were not sure if it was a trail or not.

Very fun trail, lots of wild life and views which are my favorite . Well done trail wish It was longer because it definitely didn’t seem 9.3 miles, but over all fun and i will definitely do it again on pretty day

Love walking trails. this trail was real bad it was so muddy because people drive there trucks and rip the trail up even the signs say no vehicles Walk 100 yards and turn back. I wish the state Monitors it better.

I saw 8 different kinds of wildflowers today. The waterfall was not on the mapped portion of the trail but it was very nice once I found it. You have to go right at the fork in the trail instead of left. There were some trees down across the trail.

Great trail to start off the summer. Some muddy spots, easy to follow

Started at Oak Rim trailhead made the journey to the falls and backtracked same way. Easy to follow trail.wonderful way to spend a Monday afternoon

Definitely not 9.3 miles of a loop. It is still superset and in some areas very snow packed with snow coming to you upper calves. Awesome views and still a great run. Two loops made up about 14miles with about 1400 elevation gain.

Very beautiful trail along the gorge! Natural trail with a few dips and hills, but overall pretty easy. Went in the winter when there were no leaves on the trees so you could see how magnificent the gorge was!

Started at the oak rim trailhead and turned around at the john young swing and picnic table area. The bike was easy and views were wonderful. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back and finishing the trail soon.

Totally explored and didn't follow the map. Started at the end of John young trail, the gravel handicap accessible side, and then hopped onto the end of oak rim trail where it meets the JY gravel trail. Then I backtracked because I was running out of daylight. Hiking backwards like that helps you notice different views and offshoot trails. (Chicadee loop and Joe's ridge)

At the beginning of the trail you'll come to an intersection, if you follow the app map you go left, if you go right it goes to Rainbow Falls. We went right to Rainbow Falls plus a little further, then backtracked and hopped back on the map trail. You won't see the Falls unless you leave the map trail. Shortly after getting back on the map trail we passed the sign in for John Young trail (no paper in it). A little further on the left is a picnic area with a swing, grill, and table. Next, the rest of the trail is gravel and wood (handicap accessible part of trail). A little further up on the right is the end of Oak Rim Trail. (Which is the first portion of Inman Gulf trail). The gravel path leads to a parking lot and the rest of the map trail is on the dirt road. Enjoyable, once the leaves change it will be spectacular.

Finally got to do the whole trail despite living on the other side of the gorge in Whitesville. Needs a little maintenance at trail junctions and where trails restart after clearing at the power lines. Some signs missing. Started at Oak Rim trailhead in Rodman, went about 8 miles, then looped back around to the car via Old State Road so we could try to see the eclipse. This trail meets up with other trails, John Young trail for one, which has two trail heads on Old State Rd. If you want a shorter hike to Rainbow Falls, these are it. Also there's a swing, picnic table, and grill at the junction of the John Young and one of the ski trails(missing sign). All in all, an amazing trail, will be doing it again.

This is so secluded and beautiful! I can't wait to go back! Trails are marked but you really have to be looking. We entered at the Oak Rim entrance and parked across the street from the entrance. We didn't see a soul the entire time. Our Labrador puppy was ecstatic to be on this trail. The views are unreal. Pretty close to the cliff edge for most of the hike, but it was gorgeous. We made it to the power lines and took those back to the road. Probably only completed about a third of the trail, but we will be back!

This is an excellent trail. Great views of the river below. The trail is located next to some sheer cliffs so be weary. We took our 12 week old puppy here and she had a blast splashing in the creeks and walking the trail. Bring bug spray but overall the bugs were not a problem. Breathtaking views, very secluded! We will be back!

Not worth the drive! Sketchy area. No parking lot. Signs were run down and hard to read. BRING BUG SPRAY!

Basically the whole trail is wooded, preventing much of a view near the waterfall. You really have to look to see the falls because they are pretty far away. The trail itself is not bad. I saw people mountain biking on it when I was there. Depending on the time you go, be prepared for mud in sections. Overall, it's a decent short trail, but not alot to offer in the way of scenic views aside from the forest. It would probably be a nice fall hike.

Not a hiking trail.

such a calming place to be, yet to see any wildlife aside form snakes. but just garden snake.

well marked, much of the trail is along a cliff's edge. started at west end and used PowerLine to get back to road. total hike was 2.8 miles.

Great trail. can very easily miss the waterfall if you're coming from the west. There is a strange "intersection" that doesn't exactly point you on the right direction. Thankfully I kept going and sort of found the arrows to point me on the direction. Got to a spot overlooking the falls but couldn't see the rainbows, like the sign says. So kept hearing east until I was facing directly at the falls and that's when I noticed the rainbow. Beautiful site.
