Trail let’s you hike out of the noise in the rest of the park. My dog loves going in and out of the creek!

Nice trail and well shaded. Perfect for a hot summer day.

Take this trail from Boxart all the way to Ontario Beach Park and back! It is quite a walk, but enjoyable...I am guessing a little over 5 miles round trip.

Went running with my brother here last winter. Muddy as most of the trail is in fields. Would recommend spring/summer on dry days. Good for dog walking.

Amazing views and very peaceful

Nice and easy walk with views to the falls through different points in the area. Crossing the bridge gives you panoramas of the city.

Great scenic trail with views. Beautiful area with a bridge that crosses part of the river. Hidden gem for sure!

This trail proved to be elusive and possibly non-existent as of today (5/23/18). I attempted to locate the trail off of Densmore Rd by parking in the Middle School lot as suggested on another site. I was unsuccessful. I looked along the creek south of the school with no luck. I looked along the north side, across the street from the school, with no luck. I drove over to Cranberry Landing and parked in the back. I walked along the back of the property and found what appeared to be the entrance at the far eastern end. This entrance was wide. However, a path was not marked and only by chance did I notice a small overgrown path to my left. I took a chance and started down a very steep slope. A short way in and I started to hear the water falling. I made my way to the falls and snapped a few pictures. I then attempted to walk along the overgrown path (I am on the south side of the creek). I walked East and the path ended abruptly. I turned back and walked West. Again, the path ended abruptly. Many large fallen trees on both ends. Overall, I would say that this is definitely hidden. The waterfall didn't have much water flowing today and the path was overgrown and appears to not have been maintained in some time.

Come here often throughout the year. Always a nice quick peaceful hike with great views.

Nice park with a variety of hilly areas. I thought the trails were clearly marked but I also referred back to the trail map on my phone. I liked the blue trail. I don’t think i’d take small children on the white part of the trial near the bay, as the one side of the trail drops off into the the bay. The only bummer was that there were some heavy industrial machines grinding trees on the other side of the bay and it’s was pretty loud (see photo). I think it was just bad luck that i went on a day where they were working.

Beautiful and scenic easy trail. A hidden gem in the area.

This park needs some maintenance! (I'm hoping it's because I went in winter and it will get cleaned up in the spring). There were trees down across the path - some climbing over/crawling under. The left path is super steep...watch out if it is muddy or icy (I'd recommend that most people avoid it under these conditions) but you do get some really nice views. I'll try this one again in summer/fall to see if it got cleaned up

Decent trail. some of the bridges could use some attention. It was muddy the day I visited but it was still a pleasant walk. I would visit again.

I started in the parking lot behind Panorama Plaza and the trail is not that pretty (behind businesses and an apartment complex) until after the 441 bridge, which is where Linear Park/Channing Philbrick Park is. The trail is well marked and has red blazes while inside the park. This trail is busy! It was very cold and drizzling and I saw at least 10 people. This would be good stroll with kids but I prefer less foot traffic. The trail just ends randomly (see picture). I would recommend starting at the park, not at the plaza like I did.

One of my favorite Rochester mtn biking parks. GROC has done a great job maintaining these trails. I also frequent these trails for running with my dogs

The start of the overlook loop from coyotes den is very steep. My dog and I did a great job getting up it but I was nervous for him! It’s a beautiful view once at the top.

Parking at the end of Boxart. Not really a "trail" run but a beautiful run all the same.

It was a relatively flat walk. First part was across a long bridge then into the woods on wood chip covered trails. Nice walk out and back.

Nice views great for family walks

If you are here for scenic views, be disappointed. If you are here to see nature and beautiful forest and wetland, look no farther. Birds sing, even late in the year. Deer bound across your way, and it is beautiful. A heron takes flight from the marshes and settles down again a distance away. Bring hiking boots, due to the mud. The trails are easily accessible, and at this time of year, the trails are mostly clear, save for the odd person Nordic walking the trails. However, the trail length of 7.5 miles is misleading. I followed the purple, then the green trails, and it came out to something like 4.0 miles. If you hiked all of the trails together, including the red and blue, you'd probably come out to 7.5 miles. Overall, though, it's definitely a place I'd come back to again, for hiking, birding, and just watching wildlife.

Beautiful paved loops, and opportunities to go off-trail to explore over 10,000 plant varieties. The nearby Lamberton Conservatory is also worth a visit.

Enjoyable and short look at the unique urban falls (overlook and pedestrian bridge). Take the time to try food/drink at Genesee Brew House next door.

You have a view of the Genesee river through the trees. And at the end of the trail is stairs that go down to be able to see the cascading waterfalls. One of the boards on the stairs is loose. Overall a nice walk. Not a hard walk as described.

I love the walk in the park.Enough variety..hills, scenery and steps.Feels like a good stretch when done. Some areas are isolated so I drag the husband along.

I used to play paintball here as a child. I like that it's still managed and available for hikes .

One of my favorite places to hike locally - that and Abe Lincoln right around the corner. Great little bit of trail system going down to the wet area with some neat streams (people kayak through). A little hilly but that adds to the fun. I recommend this to anyone as there are ways to make it easier or shorter if needed, or enough places to explore around for a few hours.

Nice scenic oath. Mostly flat. I do wish that they did not blactop the path.

Park at lot at the end Of Boxart Street and go north to the Lake and return. About 4.5 miles round trip. Nice river views and wildlife.

Love this hike! The trails are a little confusing at first, but there is always great wildlife encounter. The park is full of deer, chipmunk, squirrels, plenty of birds, and at the creek I always see turtles and frogs. This is a great hike during the winter too. You can really see the old rifle range with all the leaves gone. Typically, there is very little traffic, which could also be why I like this park so much.
