Easy but so worth to go!

I went there alone from Montreal and it was amazing!!! Worth the drive!! It is a very easy but very very beautiful!!!

Lovely little spot, as a Canadian coming from Montreal this path is closer to me than some of the trails up north. Pretty flat, nice views, saw 3 snakes, a hare and a red fox. Just a nice time overall

Nice, easy trail system with some nice viewpoints of Mount Mansfield in Vermont.

Been here many times... Nice hike today. With the Winter that we've had and the popularity of the trails for walkers and Ice Fishermen, microspikes are pretty much a must right now (1/30/18).

Trail needs to be marked and cleared up big time.

For folks expecting a state park experience look elsewhere. These are what I would affectionately call "rebel trails". They are maintained by high traffic and little else (except for a small portion near SUNY Plattsburgh). This is very liminal space. So expect what you might see on such a trail. Four wheelers, beer cans, etc. If that doesn't offend your delicate sensibilities, it is a great trail and a lot of fun for mountain biking, off road vehicles, or just a hike through the woods.

This trail needs a good clean up. I not sure if it's the city or college that cleans it up. Seen condoms and beer cans all over the place make me sick. what else can be found on this trail Syringe . Anything is possible now days. So for ever walks these trail watch where your walking and be sure you kids do not pick anything up.

I saw a lot of condoms on the ground and empty beer cans. Not a lot of birds.

We love this trail, and it's great for younger kids. It's great for a nice and easy walk with plenty of views of Lake Champlain.
We have hiked all of these trails at Point Au Roche, and a few trails and mountains elsewhere. Point Au Roche, however seems to be the only place where I've come home with ticks. Spray yourself and use permethrin in clothing if you'd like to spend a day on the Point Au Roche trails.

Nice casual hiking.

It was wonderful out and the trails are easy to follow for about 2/3 of it. After that there are serious issues with keeping the trails maintained so this can range from difficulty to follow all the way to not even able to be followed at all

a well-kept secret of Champlain Valley-- 12 miles of very quiet, scenic and secluded hiking trails overlooking Lake Champlain. Offers swimming, hiking, snow shoeing, cross-country skiing and biking. Great for kids and animal friendly.
