Piseco, New York Map

Completed June 2017. Great views. Nice lunch spot at the top. Some scrambling, but very minor.

Awesome short trail. Great view! Done this several times. On to the next. 46ers here I come

Amazing view from the top. Hiking could be challenging for some people. I would definitely recommend to other people.

Great hike! short in distance was about .7 miles up... slow incline for the start .3 miles then lots of incline and steep right at the top... lots of fun, built in rock steps and tons of cool trees, it was fairly easy for my dog ! Had to help him up one of the rock parts that was steep. AMAZING view and worth it all. One of my favorites for sure.

Brought a group of 5 hikers with different experience levels, we took our time but had a wonderful time. It does get quite steep at some parts but the few from the top is beautiful. I think we spent a good half an hour up there just taking in the beauty.

Short and sweet!

Peaceful but short.

Love this hike-have been doing it annually for years. Great views for minimal effort. Would definitely not rate it is hard. A little steep at the top but nothing that anyone in halfway decent physical shape couldn't handle. Family friendly and good for all ages.

Listed at trail head as, death brook falls. Nice easy trail. . 3 out and .3 back. Nice waterfall at end of .3

great hike all year.

Sweet views for very little work! Steep near the top.

Great hike. Short trek to the cliffs with a beautiful view of the Piseco lake and spy lake. Most of the hike is up hill with rocks mud and tree roots. Take your time and you will be fine.

Can park along the side of the road by the entrance. Very easy path to walk and only a slight hill in one part. The falls themselves were bigger than I expected! We went after there's been some rainfall in the area so big waterfall action - very muddy in some parts (almost lost some shoes!)

Nice trek. Took us about 30 min each way. Great rocks at the summit to chill and enjoy the view of Piseco Lake. Seems to be family friendly because we passed lots of families with young children. Rocks and roots make for natural steps.

My niece, beagle/basset and I hiked this Tuesday. It was far from where we live, but well worth the drive! Beautiful view at the top and a lot of interesting sites along the trail!!!

You can not park anywhere near this trail. Only for locals and so we could not visit

It was a great day and view!

My 70-year old parents and I did this hike and it was slow-going, especially at the hard part near the top, but we all made it and the views at the top were well-worth it! Fairly crowded and lots of kids and dogs on the trail, also pretty buggy, but beautiful woods and fun climb!

Let me start by saying this isn't really a "trail" so much as a snowmobile path with no sign of human activity all summer. The log in book shows no one had been there in quite a while . Most of the time the "trail" was just barely a herd path and the rest of the time I found myself walking in knee high grass or stumbling over fallen limbs and trees. Sections of the "trail" were under inches of water and mud. The "trail" goes passed 3 lakes; Dry lake, Dexter lake, and can take you passed Spectacle lake but the "trail" suggest that it wants you to swim to the other side (it's a snowmobile trail, so you could cross it in the winter). Overall the lakes weren't anything special and I don't think it was worth bushwhacking the 9 miles. There was also abundant bear scat so there's that.

Good hike. Certainly would not rate as Hard. Did the hike with two children ages 4 & 6 and they had no trouble.

This trail is great. A short brisk walk with no incline to an amazingly tall waterfall. If you look around the right side of the falls, you will find a herd path going to the top of the falls.

Short hike with great reward, incline can be difficult for those who do not hike regularly.

I wouldn't consider this a hard hike maybe moderate. It's a fun little hike with a great view at the end.

Very solid hike. Can get wet. Rewarding view at the top.

Nice little hike that becomes rocky and steep as you approach the cliffs. There is some mud from the recent rain but nothing bad. The view from the cliffs is excellent, especially for the relatively low elevation.

Just a short walk but well worth it! It was raining when we went and there was a considerable amount of mud in one short spot. The Falls were running quite hard making it scenic.

Took my parents on this hike, and we all enjoyed it. It's pretty steep, and wet/muddy most of the way up (on 6/1/2017). But the view up top is wonderful. The constant climb made it feel longer than it was. Wear something waterproof, bring bug spray.

Super quick hike to a nice waterfall. Pretty muddy today.

Beautiful vista awaits at the end of this relatively short, but steep at the end hike. The last 2/10th of a mile are a pretty good incline, but it is rewarding at the end. Bring a beer.
