Nice walk. Stroll or speed walk for exercise.

Hiked to the overview with my son yesterday it was a good hike .
Enjoyed the snowman. Trying to get in shape to go up Marcy this summer this hike seemed to be a good start. Enjoyed it.

Incredible hike! A little chilly with some brutal wind, but the experience was worthwhile. Be prepared for some serious rock scrambles. My hiking buddy and I were very surprised by the amount of snow still on the top of some of the trails beyond the poplar summit. Made for some challenging conditions on the way to and from the fire tower.

The App does not seem to reflect accurately the location of trailhead.

Maybe I’m crazy but when i go on a easy hike i like to be able to look at nature and not have to watch every single step. Half of this hike is rocks. And since we went in March days after a storm we probably should have waited. It was icy and perilous. I would not score this as easy as children and the elderly would not be able to tackle most of the climbs and drops which don’t occur until it’s too late to turn around. And yes you hear the traffic on 28 the whole time.

Awesome place!

Plenty of hiking trails, maintained well. Wear boots you aren’t afraid of getting muddy or wet. Some trails can be very muddy after rain or snow melting.

Had a nice day hiking around the area. The only drawback was traffic noise.

Beautiful forest trail. There was 12-18 inches of snow on the trail the day we did it, so really slow going. Covered in snow, it was hard in some places to figure out where the trail was. We've done this trail in the summer as well and the trail is easy to find when it's not covered in snow. Note that the trail is marked, both at the trailhead and on the trail markers, as the Beehunter trail. The full loop is also about 6.5 miles rather than 5.3.

Great hike! Did it in the middle of February and it was quite icy so be careful! Other than that it was beautiful until it started raining halfway through!!

Good trail but do you have to take the road a ways

Hard but rewarding. We didn’t even finish this hike just made it shorter by taking shorter way back, because in the beginning of November it was very cold and windy and because of that it was really hard to climb the rocks

Some pretty good climbing

this is my favorite place to walk for an hour. love the nature and oaky bluffs

Amazing day! A little tough for the kids, but they loved it.

First time there, won’t be my last!! Pretty hard at the onset. You will be using all 4s to get up the initial ascent. As others have said it gets easier but don’t let easiER get confused with easy. It wasn’t that hard for me but I see the entire loop being a challenge for many. It’s well worth the effort though so take your time and be careful. See you on the trails!!

Great scramble to start, then it eases up. I like doing this in the colder months. Less people.

Kayak or canoe only. Not a hiking trail.

Wide , flat well marked trails . Great views of water and marsh , will be a great place to bird in the spring.

Nice and easy hike. Very icy. Micro spikes made it a breeze.

Love this hike❤

We camp here a few times a year and we always take a family hike with the dogs on these trails. These easy trails are what got our family into hiking in the first place. Easy, enjoyable, peaceful. Would recommend to any beginner hiker or to a casual walker that just wants to enjoy nature.

A bit slippery in the ice, but pretty views of the pond and mountain in the winter with no leaves. Easy walk.

Beautiful views. On one side, it’s amazing, calm, beach side walk, there’s walking trail as well across beach side, and on other side is hiking trail. Trail covers view of sunken meadow tidal marsh. Photos uploaded.

The view was absolutely amazing. This is a great winter hike, quick, and simple.

always great

As advertised, very easy, but an unbelievably scenic stroll. Some dirt trials so wear boots if raining

This trail is fantastic in the height of summer and colors of fall. The terrain and flora are extremely diverse, from a stand of shagbark hickory, to little gorge-like valleys, to rocky overlooks, to hilltop maple strolls with cast iron-strewn ruins. The length of the trail is perfect for a morning or afternoon walk. Some of the trail gets waterlogged, so footwear with that in mind is probably a good idea.

A great winter hike. Download the map, trails are aplenty and a teeny bit confusing. Beautiful scenery. I shall return!
