Everything to love. Easy walking, fantastic look into history, frequent cool activities and fairs, particularly Halloween! Must see place.

I was here three times a year throughout my childhood and twenty plus years later I still love it. In fact, one summer, in the early eighties I went to camp here! We dress up in period costumes and apprenticed with the hatter and the blacksmith and milked the cows and looked for eggs at the William's farm; pick vegetables for homemade chowder. If they're still running this program I highly recommend it.

I LOVE Old Bethpage village! If you have not been here, and you like old houses and history you have to visit. You feel like you are walking around Long Island in 1850. The old homes are furnished and can be toured. There is a general store, a hat maker, the blacksmith, and old church and school house. And a farm with animals. In 2012 the fee per person was $10/$7 child. They do Civil War re-enactments here. You can bring a stroller, though it is not so easy to push on the gravel. Great place to let the kids run free. No dogs. One fee gets you in to all the restored homes. If you walk the whole loop, it is about 2 miles, 45 minutes maybe. But you need about 2 hours to see the whole park and homes. Don't recommend on a hot summer day. Bring a picnic lunch to have at the main building.
