One of the most wonderful places to walk in NYC. Can be a bit crowed at times.

not really a trail but still pretty awesome for an urban area

You don’t come to NY for the hiking trails. This is basically just an elevated sidewalk, crowded & noisy, but it does have greenery & places to sit, along with some interesting architectural views.

Spent a lovely day on the High line. It was very beautiful and peaceful. Beautifully done and I highly recommend everyone go and enjoy the beauty!!!

Nice flats to run and walk. City is trying hard to revitalize the park and you can see it with the landscaping. Nice scenic view to take your mind of running.

This is something I recommend to everyone visiting the city. It provides a different view of the city and was a great way to repurpose the old railroad.

This is such a wonderful example of the repurposing power of landscape architecture. It's a very flat walk for all ages, skill levels and elevators provide universal access for all to enjoy.

Easy and touristy!

this is one of my favorite places to go in NYC. it gets really crowded, though, so push to go early early or during a light rain or something.

Pretty cool space. I love that this area could be turned into some kind of open space above street level. Busy and popular!

Walked from one side to the other and back. An iconic structure. Would have been nice if the walking/biking surface was a tad wider. I imagine it gets cramped when it's a nice weekend morning.

Very easy path to follow with plenty of places to stop, sit and enjoy. Now that the weather is warming up there are plenty of people on the High Line, and when we walked the High Line the crowd was huge, yet the noise was minimal. There are also a handful of food/drink stations along the way as well as a couple of gift shop kiosks and a few street vendors. I suggest you take your time, enjoy the quietness and beautiful landscape.

best ride ever

It’s cool because it’s unique - you’re above the city! That said it’s also usually very crowded and not super green or spacious - it’s pretty narrow. Has some cool sunbathing chaise-lounges that you can chill in on the way, plus a lot of cool sculptures! ☺️

Cute short little trail above all of the madness below. Nice views! Beautifully landscaped.

Excellent, easy, fairly long walk or jog. Beautiful and quiet . NYC did a great job of creating a place for everyone to enjoy.

Walked it in the winter, when crowds were light. Can only imagine how crowded it gets in good weather. Nice way to get down to the Meatpacking District from the West Side. Tons of construction along the first part of the walk.

Very cold this morning, but the hike was great. Lots of dogs out enjoying the snow. The start/finish is at the Museum of Natural History...so you can make a day of it by also exploring the museum before or after the hike.

Peaceful part of the city . Unique feel being elevated !

Great escape from city. Even though you are right in the middle of it being elevated makes it seem like you are on a different planet at time. Very clean and everyone seems friendly on there. Start and finish in Chelsea so you can visit the indoor market of the Food Network.

What do you do in a big city with limited space for a park? High Line Park is the answer. This repurposing of an unused rail line is beautiful and innovative. At the time I walked the whole length, but the park has been extended since then.

Great trail, great views, an urban gem for New Yorkers (I'm from MD). My only complaint is that a number of riders ignore the signs saying "go slow, be courteous" and ride like they are racing, some in packs. This would be ok if the trail were not so crowded. The trail is not terribly wide and often must accommodate walkers, strollers, etc and the bikers are going dangerously fast. This should not keep you from trying this trail, it is great, but be mindful of these racers.

Got there by 7p for the Friends of the High Line tour. Enjoyed Francesca's history of the High Line. It's my first time doing the tour and 3 time on the High Line.
