More of a stroll.

Free admission on Wednesdays. Nice fall colors in some areas. Went into one of the buildings with some sort of chrysanthemum bonsai things. Pretty interesting. Lots of walking to do here

Explore the Thain Family Forest with this rail to trail adventure which is perfect for kids. If you enter the Spicebush Trail near the Rock Garden you can do a great loop and bring a stroller. There are steps but this way you can carry the stoller down not up them. Go on a Wednesday - free grounds access for all. Lovely Fall adventure.

nice leisurely walk, surrounded by nature and birds

One of the most wonderful places to walk in NYC. Can be a bit crowed at times.

Nice Oasis in the city. Needs a little work. Combined several trails to form the loop.

not really a trail but for NYC again not a bad trail

Did the dusk tour. A great historic and beautiful cemetery, so much history.

You don’t come to NY for the hiking trails. This is basically just an elevated sidewalk, crowded & noisy, but it does have greenery & places to sit, along with some interesting architectural views.

Spent a lovely day on the High line. It was very beautiful and peaceful. Beautifully done and I highly recommend everyone go and enjoy the beauty!!!

This is something I recommend to everyone visiting the city. It provides a different view of the city and was a great way to repurpose the old railroad.

Very surprised how nice this place was. Very well kept. Lots of deer, birds, frogs. Some lengths run close to the road so at times highway noise is easily heard.

This is such a wonderful example of the repurposing power of landscape architecture. It's a very flat walk for all ages, skill levels and elevators provide universal access for all to enjoy.

Nice easy walk with family, lots of birds, plants, and views, but extremely buggy. Even with heavy duty bug spray on, we got swarmed badly.

Beautiful views for either a run or casual walk

Easy and touristy!

this is one of my favorite places to go in NYC. it gets really crowded, though, so push to go early early or during a light rain or something.

beautiful run, but a bit short. you can push it to a 30ish minute run using side trails and just sort of staying to the outside.

this is part of the West Side Greenway and we run it at least once a week. really great section with some Rock art, bathrooms and water at 145th, and access points at 181,168 (sort of), 155, 145, and 125 streets. it's right along the Hudson and features The Little Red Lighthouse just inder the George Washington Bridge.

Pretty cool space. I love that this area could be turned into some kind of open space above street level. Busy and popular!

One of the absolute gems of New York City!!!

Very easy path to follow with plenty of places to stop, sit and enjoy. Now that the weather is warming up there are plenty of people on the High Line, and when we walked the High Line the crowd was huge, yet the noise was minimal. There are also a handful of food/drink stations along the way as well as a couple of gift shop kiosks and a few street vendors. I suggest you take your time, enjoy the quietness and beautiful landscape.

Love this place

It’s cool because it’s unique - you’re above the city! That said it’s also usually very crowded and not super green or spacious - it’s pretty narrow. Has some cool sunbathing chaise-lounges that you can chill in on the way, plus a lot of cool sculptures! ☺️

The Loop is back! The breach has been repaired. Go here periodically for a quick get away, nice hike with many options for a short to long walk
