Had to drive around to find street parking because there is no parking in the park. Was rewarded with lots of wildlife sightings: swans, rabbits, and a deer walked up close to us. Nice for a quick walk in nature!

It’s easily accessible, trails are somewhat maintained, but the city is very present and trails were busy, sometimes with runners, once with a woman who was playing her music loudly through her phone, etc. Not as peaceful as i’d hoped.

Nice view beside the bridge, good for walking, biking, jogging and picnicking and much more. Parking lot just next to track and field.

It is a nice walk. I brought my dog along. Shaded areas. I saw a decent amount of birds. I took my time & took pictures. If you are in the area, I would recommend.

Nice, easy trails with a few inclines. There are smaller dirt paths as well as wider gravel ones.

Es una ruta fácil para todo tipo de persona pero la playa está sucia y tiene mucho vidrio roto.

My teen and I hiked this trail in the morning. A lot of gnats! Lots of wildlife, encountered a few mountain bikes and no other walkers. We will be back again.

We walked this with a 10 and an 8 yr old and loved it! The beach at the end is quiet and secluded, not many people at all. Will go back for sure!

Mostly flat, but some spots have a short climb with the bike. A bit too hard for my 5 year old to climb with his bike. Maybe in a year or 2.

Bronx River Forest is lovely and full of critters. But the main paths, whereas it’s the Moshulu, or the Bronx River path, are mostly paved and much too close to the actual parkways if you are looking for actual nature.

Nice quick trail but right by the parkway. Lovely pond to walk around and horse farm.

The northern section was nice but you never get away from the roar of cars from the highway. One section is closed till the summer.

I was in the area and needed to kill time. This trail was a nice fit for that reason but I wouldn’t go out of my way to travel to it. Trail is wide, cleared, and easy to find. I did see some glass along the trail so be careful if you have a dog with you. It’s obviously right next to the highway so it’s not a peaceful hike but almost gets you out of the city feel.

Please note that part of this trail, the Putnam Greenway that used to be the New York Central Railroad, is closed for construction until the Summer of 2020. It's being surfaced from the south end of the lake to the north end of the park.

Great little trail in the city. Not busy and get you away from hustle. Does get flooded when tide is in

I would recommend this trail to people looking for an easy dog-friendly hike. Not too crowded with the exception of a cross-country event happening. A ton of space, great views, and parking by the horse stables.

Beautiful place to watch the sunset. I’ve had many picnics here, sitting right near the bridge. It can get pretty rowdy at night with people blasting music from their cars and smoking hookah, but the view is nice enough that it’s worth it. Parking can get bad here when there’s events such as the fair they have in the spring, but on a normal day, it’s pretty laid back. There’s also a skate park and pool here. Porter potty available. Wish there were more public restrooms.
