Road biking

Not sure how Prospect Park is considered easy. Who came up with that? There’s nothing easy about climbing that hill. Even when I’m running that hill is a pain in the butt. It’s a very nice park. Perfect for road biking and running. Plus everything else you can think of in a park.

Overall Good. Take the more adventurous path to the right and after 30 mins walk, you emerge into a more prestige Rocky beach! The left side takes you to wolf pond area. The paved roads are good for easy walk

It’s a good hike. The beginning is secluded and very nice. As you get toward the end, the blazes are more scarce and you cross several roads. Still, I would recommend this hike when you can’t get out of the city. It accessible by public transportation.

Views of the water and the city, plenty of shady trees. Great place to bring a picnic blanket.

We started walking this trail every weekend with our pups recently. There is nice shade which gives us all a break from the climbing summer temperatures. The orange and blue trails are fairly empty, giving a great sense of privacy and city-escape. There are some areas where the trail markings prove a bit difficult to follow, but we utilized the map on the app and quickly found our way.

I live near the park and come here every day, and if you want to stay on the trail keep your phone in hand and watch carefully. It's not an obvious route and you'll scratch your head a few times over the up/down and back/forth when there's a sidewalk right in front of you. Perhaps just walk up to the north part of the park and explore some of the lesser-known areas up there -- wonderful exploring with lots to see!

Had to drive around to find street parking because there is no parking in the park. Was rewarded with lots of wildlife sightings: swans, rabbits, and a deer walked up close to us. Nice for a quick walk in nature!

It’s easily accessible, trails are somewhat maintained, but the city is very present and trails were busy, sometimes with runners, once with a woman who was playing her music loudly through her phone, etc. Not as peaceful as i’d hoped.

Heavily wooded - I’m surprised how isolated you can feel in parts of the park considering it’s in Queens. I was pleasantly surprised by all the dirt trails available. My new favorite park close to home.

I run this trail 3x a week from Hylan to the Nature Center for a 6 mile out and back. I've seen deer, turkeys, chipmunk, and an assortment of birds while running. The west portion of the white trail is also excellent for mountain biking (Hylan Blvd to end of Egbertville Ravine). You may be able to see some houses on this western half of the trail but the trade off is more interesting terrain. If I were to strickly hike the white trail, I would begin at the Egbertville Ravine and head towards the nature center. As others mentioned a stop by Moses Mountain although off the trail, would also be advised. Enjoy.

Nice, easy trails with a few inclines. There are smaller dirt paths as well as wider gravel ones.

One of the best trails on Staten Island. If it wasn’t for the fact that you had to cross streets every once in awhile, you would feel transported to a new world. Definitely stop and climb Moses Mtn.

My teen and I hiked this trail in the morning. A lot of gnats! Lots of wildlife, encountered a few mountain bikes and no other walkers. We will be back again.
