Family friendly, Well marked trails. No dogs allowed. A bit crowded and noisy in areas. Stay on the green belt, or take some side trails. Some climbs a bit steep, in soft sand, making footing a bit challenging. We took our time and loved the views when we got to the purple painted trees. Ate lunch and continued on our way.

This one is well worth it. One of the most scenic trails I have done.

Good trail. Lots of variety and cross trails. Reasonably well marked. Steep climbs and descents if you come from or go down to the beach from the main trail. One of my favorite trails in Suffolk County.

This trail is definitely overgrown in spots and extremely buggy at 730pm in mid July. Only did a quarter of the trail from the secluded entry to the woods. Bugs were brutal although they didn't seem to bug my brave Chi-weenie. Still a decent trail if it wasn't so buggy and was better marked. At times I felt like I was in "The Shire." Probably will go back doused in bug repellent(Off) and with my clippers to make it a little more passable for future hikers.

Love it , it gives me a good workout and the views are gorgeous only downside is the app drains the battery quickly

1st time hiking in sunken meadow state park. This is a great hiking trail, beautiful view, easy to follow. But this app drained the battery of my phone so we had to cut the hike short and go back to the car. Does anyone else have the same problem?

Very fun trails, through the woods, or alongside a tidal basin. Also right next to a mile long beach boardwalk!

Beautiful views. On one side, it’s amazing, calm, beach side walk, there’s walking trail as well across beach side, and on other side is hiking trail. Trail covers view of sunken meadow tidal marsh. Photos uploaded.

One of my favorite on long island. Walking on on the high part of the trail gives some great views. And there are a couple of restaurants at the Kings Park end that you can easily get to.

This is a great place to kayak during the summer. one of my favorite places! It’s a decent length, I believe about 5-7 miles. I visited back in April 2016. The people who set you up are pretty friendly and help get you set up so that you feel comfortable. It’s definitely worth checking out.

Gorgeous views! Breathtaking!

Not anywhere near the trail on AllTrails.com. That trail would have you in water and marsh. Made our way around. Plenty of wildlife but the insects are brutal. Bring spray and treat before hike. Plenty of ticks. Be warned !!!!! I will try this trail again in colder months. Trail is marked, but not if coming in from field 2. We noticed only on return trip (25A) of the orange markings.

A great day of hiking. Easy hike. Some great views but not much wildlife as it was a busy day with a lot of hikers. Trail is marked pretty good but still a few side trails to follow if not careful. I think this would be a better hike during the week or winter months as this park is very busy during summer weekends.

Definitely one of the best trails on the island. The views are great and a lot of the paths are narrow.

One of the best.

Can make this hike last as long as short as you would like it be. Plenty of wild life and birds to see along the way. Can get a beach walk and mountainous feel hike all In one

This is my favorite local place to kayak, doesn't matter which way the tide is running, its always fun and a good workout paddling against the tide. The birds, scenery, seems like I'm somewhere else, Remember to be safe and practice caution, almost every year someone underestimates the tide and looses their life.

I really like this trail, its one of my favorite trails to run and hike on Sundays, every month and every season it looks different. I like the view on the Bluff trail that overlooks the LI Sound, every day the tide is different. I usually start from Sunken Meadow Rd, then go to the Bluff, then down to steel bridge, then out to peninsula, then along LI Sound beach then back up to woods and back. takes about 40-60 min depending on hike or run and animal and flower and views. Good Solitude toward evening at sunset.

Lightly used trail that meanders through the woods along the tidal sunken meadow creek. Great spot to see deer and an abundance of ducks and herons. Starts in the park opposite the field two parking lot, on the road to the golf course. Ends along 25a.

Went out here a few weeks ago. Great views. It had everything I wanted. Some changes in elevation, beautiful scenery, and I felt safe. I think the hike was added by it being winter. If you feel like getting out and seeing an amazing sunset, check this out in winter time.

Beautiful views!

In my opinion one of the most beautiful parks on Long Island. There are many trails to take in the park. All trails are scenic. Trails are for beginners to novice. Park is best enjoyed in spring and the fall.

Nice hike thru the woods and along the high bluffs overlooking the Long Island sound

Fun trail to hike with gorgeous views of the Sound. A brackish creek and tidal pool beneath the bluffs gives the chance to see some interesting marine life. Horseshoe crabs, Hermit crabs, trout from the Nissequogue river, assorted fish from the sound, ospreys, snowy egrets, and cormorants all can be found in the area.
