Excellent views, really easy trail. Cost $10 per car to get in.

It is a very pretty hike, but this is more like a skiing trail that can also be hiked (when theres no snow), 90% graveled trails, not difficult at all, the only difficult part is the distance, other than that, the trail is easy and with very little elevation gain, does have a nice seasonal beach that can only be hiked to, I imagine it gets packed though in the summer

Nice walk. Highly recommend to visit the waterfalls nearby

Family friendly, pedestrian heavy trail and lots of dogs. Late March stroll resulted in a few snowy patches.

Beautiful, well established trail - there was a bit of slippery snowy slush that hadn’t melted yet, but totally doable in hiking shoes. We brought our dog and we ran into plenty of fellow pups.

Long but flat woods road most of the way up. Didn't go further up than Lake Awosting, but swung by Rainbow Falls. Views from the top are great.

Harder than moderate

Easy and nice views

Easy loop with beautiful views

Closed for hiking, skiing only.

Great views of the Catskills. Breathtaking lake only 90 miles from the busiest city in the world. Great escape, highly recommend

Easy loop with well maintained trails and nice views.

Skied this yesterday. Mostly flat, though there are a few gentle hills. Amazing views.

Highly recommend this trail. Spectacular scenery all the way.It was an easy walk. Love it.

We biked the routes and enjoyed the views very much.

I changed the track a little. I took Castle Point to the Blueberry Run Trail, over the Awosting Carriage Road down to Peters Kill, then backtracked back up to the Awosting Carriage Road, and then went around Lake Minnewaska on the Minnewaska Carriage Trail. It was a beautiful hike, roughly 12 miles. I liked the Blueberry Run Trail the most. It had the least amount of people and had a more diverse atmosphere.

Nice hike with beautiful views. Part of hike (a little Over 3 miles) is a gravel carriage path. The rest is a moderate hike. A few really nice rocky outcropping s to sit and enjoy the view. End at the lake so you can cool off if you have your bathing suit. Go early in the day during busy season. When the trail head parking area fills you have to park 1 mile downhill. Adds 2 miles round trip Also 10.00 parking fee to get into the park

Did this on my bike took upper awosting to lake rode around great places to stop and lay on flat rocks and swim then climbed up to castle point trail and it's a down hill ride all the way back

Labor weekend trip was very nice. Plenty trails . Very good place to do picknik and some biking around . Definitely will go back there.

Very quick, however beautiful.

I think it's funny people have rated this a moderate trail, seems a little bit more than that. ultimately, it was wonderful but based on the time of year very buggy and humid. The refreshing views made it a peaceful escape.

Great trail for walking / hiking. Easy and scenic. There is a $10 entry fee so it pays to have an empire pass if you will be visiting often.

You can also check out blueberry run and pick blueberries!!

Great riding trail. Has a little bit of elevation going up to Castle Point but down hill after. Great vistas!
