Blueberry gets 4 stars, minus one linking Porter to it. Holy Hera if you like mud, by all means continue to Porter. overall this trail was a solid ADK stair-master.

Hiked 5/30. The trail was a bit muddy. Great hike, especially if you’re looking for more of a rock climb. The Brothers offer amazing views almost the entire way!

Hiked up the 3 Brothers to Big Slide, amazing views from the Brothers!! Definitely some technical climbing at spots going up. Headed to Yard after. Came back down Klondike/Phelps trail from Yard. AVOID at all costs, blow down led to the trail disappearing completely just past the waterfall. Had to bushwhack to the bottom before picking up Klondike & heading back to the Garden via Phelps trail.

Great hike, well marked. Spent about an hour and a half at the top enjoying lunch and the 360 views.

We found this hike relatively easy compared to other high peaks we’ve done - but still very difficult for an unseasoned hiker. Beautiful views all the way up, and quite a bit of scrambling. Ladders towards the top assist with scaling bald rock faces. A great day hike!

We started this trail from lake rd at 510 am, it was wet and rainy in the am and soon turned to sun which was nice! There were a lot of scrambles on the trails, my favorite view was from Armstrong. It had great views of gothic, Marcy, saddleback, basin, big slide and Algonquin Great day hiking!

Great trails. Bridge is out at lower Ausable Lake. follow detours. Only snow encountered was coming off Gothics on the way to Armstrong. Two short stretches. No spikes needed.

Lower Great range has good trail conditions. No blow down to speak of. very well maintained.

Fantastic hike early Sunday 5/30. Low 40s at the trailhead, 30 at the lookout with wind. 32 degrees at the summit. Trail is in great shape, not muddy, not crowded, but some trash here and there. :( Clearly marked the whole way. I would recommend this trail for beginners and up. Up and back quickly, nothing technical, dogs are allowed, parking was wide open at 6am. Back at the trail head at 930am.

Not sure why Big Slide is rated moderate because it’s pretty challenging. Took us about 3 hours to get to the top. Lots of mud and steady run off and some rock faces that are fairly steep. We had sun, snow, hail, rain but when we got the summit, the clouds had moved out and the views are amazing.....worth the effort for sure. Total distance is about 8 miles and took us 6 hours including a few short breaks and 15-20 mins at the top.

Amazing views coming up Brothers trail! Was a little muddy, but that’s expected for spring hiking. Luckily no ice or snow left on any of the trails. The weather was pretty wild with snow, rain and sleet throughout the hike. Took a wrong turn on the way down and ended up coming down Phelps trail. Would definitely say brothers trail should be rated hard going up. Might be too difficult for the not so avid doggy hiker.

Blueberry mountain out and back only, did not go to Porter. Beautiful hike, towards the top we had great views! Trail well marked early on but not well marked about halfway, then markers resume. A couple opportunities to fill water as you pass across streams. Good intermediate hike some sections that are a steep grade. Medium difficulty for an Adirondack hike, take all necessary precautions as you would for any Adirondack hike: rain gear, non-Cotten clothes, etc.. weather changed quickly while we were out. We have been on a break from hiking and this was a great return to it!

Such a great day! It was cool and breezy. Parking lots were full everywhere but we got in here. Views from Rooster Comb were amazing; definitely suggest going to the look out for a great shot as well. We added Snow Mt last minute at the bottom; I’d suggest taking the blue trail rather than going all the way back down. Great views of the Ausable Club from Snow Mt and another awesome shot of Giant and Colvin and Blake!
