Easy walk! Saw a Barred owl!!

Beautiful trail but quite buggy! Bring the bug spray with you! In all a very nice afternoon walk.

Took my 85 year old Mom on a short walk to the Hawkwood Estate site. The trail was wide, dry and exceptionally easy for her to walk. What a great little expedition!

Breath taking home very easy and relaxing hike well maintained trails and great new bridge work !

Family friendly. Very easy.

This app is grate for finding a trail to hick

This is a great trail system that is wide and open. This has really neat old foundations and wells. They have bridges and walking boards in spots where there is water. Great views we will bring our kids and dogs next time. Some of the trees look look like they’ve been around for 200 years, very old forest.

Took my daughter here on a short walk after school today. The crew here has done a great job this summer placing planking over wet spots and adding new bridges to the Blue Trail. A very enjoyable walk in the woods.

Great loop system! Bridges, a stream and great variety of length on a handful of trails. Definitely coming back!

Great walk/hike. Paths are well marked and clear. Very cool to see the building remains and lots of beautiful streams. Few wet spots, but not bad at all. Bugs aren't terrible if you keep moving, but I'd recommend bug spray.

Did a short walk here this afternoon. The white trail is in great shape, but they've roped off the side trails (orange and blue) due to muddy conditions. I imagine they'll open them up once it dries out a little.

This is a great wooded area that is well mark park, which I appreciate. It has easy trails with some wet spots to jump over. You need to watch where you're walking because paths have tree root stumps and rocks protruding with some regularity that will trip you. This adds to the hike. People take good care of park.

Walked the white and yellow trails early this AM. White trail was dry and there were a couple muddy spots on the yellow trail, but they were easily avoided. The warblers were out this AM as well as the trout lily and trillium.

The town chose a great spot for this green space project. Really nice open mixed hardwoods, field edges, and streams. The ancient farmhouse ruins are interesting, but at the moment they are awkwardly roped off. I've been running the trails this spring to train for mud-runs, and this loop is perfect for someone looking to get muddy. If not, stick to the central trail, which is dry, or use it for winter or summer hikes.

Probably the best marked trails I've ever seen. was there on Easter Sunday 2017, very muddy in spots, especially the orange trail. this new park has much potential. Trails wind through an abandon "village"... stone walls and many stone foundations and cellar holes. there is even an old stone-lined well. I'm hoping as time goes by there will be some info on the historical significance of the area.
We will be back! Thank you to whoever donated the land...and for the town to do something with it.

Not another person in sight so my dog and I had a full day of adventures here. It was super muddy but that never stopped us. Can't wait to check out other trails. Great job on creating a great trail for the locals. :)

Walked the Orange, Yellow and Blue trails in a loop. Things are muddy in spots on the Orange and Blue trails. Some pretty big quagmire's you have to walk around (or through). Other than that, it was a pretty good walk, except...

Starting to see some folks not being good stewards of the land. I picked up several dog waste bags from trailside and noticed mountain bike tracks at the trailhead and on the Blue trail. The posted rules specifically says no bikes. The trails certainly aren't constructed with bikes in mind. A lot of muddy spots that were getting rutted out. Too bad.

Did the white and yellow trail today. Slushy and wet in spots. Some okay sights here and there. Appeared to be quite busy. Saw hardly anyone wearing appropriate footwear but thats okay, lol. A brand new pair of MSR Lightning Ascents got a nice break in today. Saw a few gents coming in as I was leaving wearing snowshoes which was nice to see. Decent hour stroll. Checked off, wont be back. The Saratoga PLAN trails are a little lackluster.

Plenty of folks out on the trail today. We wore snowshoes, but could have got away with spikes. We did the white to yellow trail lollipop route. The trail was slushy in some spots and icy in others. Beautiful weather!

Great hike today. I walked the orange, yellow and blue trails in a nice loop that took over an hour. Trail was icy and traction aids were necessary in some spots. I had a good look at a pileated woodpecker.

I hiked this on 13 Jan and had a great time. The first part of the white trail was icy and spikes were necessary. Once I got to the yellow trail, the conditions were good. I did a detour back to the parking area on the blue trail. A little mud and ice, but not bad.
