Fun walk. Rigorous, but fun. Can’t wait to do it again.

Clearly marked and easy to navigate Trail. A few inclines throughout, but spaced out enough to not get overwhelmed.

Nice trail, easy hike with wide meadow view which is nice. Could use a few more blazes in certain areas for novice hikers.

A marshy trail but a great one! Well blazed, level path, beautiful scenery.

Great trail, well maintained and blazed. Steep inclines/dips in some areas so wear your good hiking boots. I do this trail once a week, its just lovely!

Yesterday I took my two teenaged sons to the Birdsong Trail for the first time and I brought black oil sunflower seed for them to hold out in their palms so the birds would eat right out of their hands. They loved it. Even though it is mid-May, the birds still came to feed. Within 3 minutes, my older son had both a Downy woodpecker and a chickadee land on his palm at the same time! We stayed about half an hour and during that half hour we each had chickadees, nuthatches and tufted titmice eating out of our palms. I'd never seen a Downy woodpecker do that and it only happened once but it was so cool. Reaching teenagers is tough so this was a win. I've only done the square part of the hike and it's a lovely walk, sometimes crowded so get there early unless you want to have a lot of people passing by as you're trying to feed the birds.

I love this trail. I added some of the blue trail to try and end with 7 miles. I came close.

Beautiful morning hike, just woodsy enough to be a hike and not a walk, but by no means hard to complete 5 miles. It was pretty dry, but parts look like it could get rough after rains.

East path, boards were put down for the really muddy areas. Loved it!

I had the trail to myself, which was nice, but boy was it muddy!

Bring some bird seed to feed the birds directly from your hand. The birds are more likely to feed in the morning and in cooler months when it’s harder for them to find food.

many side trails made it confusing as to how to follow the loop, but gorgeous and a good workout

Great hike and a good workout! Very well marked. I’ll be back!

Mix of forest and open field, has some muddy spots in the spring, dog friendly

This was a pretty nice trail in most parts, open to the sun and wide expansive trails in some areas. A few parts were very muddy, so it was a good thing we had our waterproof boots on. We had a hard time following the trail - there are lots of places where the trail forks hard in several directions, and the marker isn’t clear which way is the right way. I’m not even sure we did the trail correctly, but we found our way back to our car eventually! We definitely got “lost” a couple of times. Not too many people (on a Monday afternoon). Doggo enjoyed sniffing out the horse tracks.

Great trail very well marked and maintained.

At the start you can bring bird seed and feed the birds. Great wide smooth trail that connects to other trails. Beautiful park all around.

East Esker with North Meadow Loop add on. Nice hike, a cold snowy day in mid April. Not much mud at all, very few people out.

Smooth, easy trail. Strollers with a bit of ground clearance (not umbrella stroller) would have no issue. Popular spot for birders with a couple good spots for viewing the pond.

Great trail. Definitely was a workout.

Great Trail! A bit of a challenge, the views are stunning and the sounds of nature dominate.

Such an awesome place. You can feed the birds here by hand if you are patient enough, and bring some bird seed. The fairy houses are adorable as well!
