We loved it. Easy walk it has a nice wide trail, we could walk four abreast and we saw monarchs and their caterpillars, frogs, snapping turtles, snakes, birds, snakes eating frogs, and an assortment of fungi. And a nice beach at the end of the trail. Bring some sunscreen because you well want to stay at the beach a while and cool off your feet. We will be back for sure.

I believe the mileage is out and back per description

Just beautiful but it’s only a little over a mile not 2 1/2

The trail seemed shorter than 2.5 miles to me, but once you finish it the view is amazing! We were not planning to swim, but decided to dip our toes in the water and spent almost 3 hours there not including the time it took to hike the trail there and back! Definitely on our list of places to visit again.

This was a wide grassy secluded trail ending in a gorgeous view of Lake Ontario. Perfect relief from a long car ride on 81.

This is nice for anyone who wants a short hike/nature walk. The trail is near a swampy area so there are bugs, especially at dusk. The end of the trail is across a wooden walkway that takes you over the sand dunes in the area and ultimately finishes at the shore of Lake Ontario.

I've completed this hike with my daughter for years and she loves it, especially because it takes her to the beach. There's lots of birds through the wooded area and if the conditions are right, you could even come across a snapping turtle making it's way to the swamp.
