Unfortunately it seems as if this trail is closed now. At the trailhead there are signs posted that the trail is closed about a mile in due to landowners of private property and hunting allowed during certain times of the year. Would have loved to try it but didn’t. Scarbuck trail is across the street so it’s not a complete waste if you came here expecting to do this trail.

Clearly marked trails and a little bonus loop if you cross the “bridge too far” .Trails were a little muddy in some spots and some spots down by the creek have lots of tree roots so you have to watch where you step. I hiked with my 2 year old on my back in a carrier and it was a nice little workout. All and all this trail has it all.

This is one of my favorite places to hike and relax, especially if you go on a weekday. I’ve never run into more than just a few people. You park on a main road, but after about a half mile in it is totally quiet and peaceful. It can get pretty muddy in the spring and there are also a lot of bugs. Early to mid summer is best, when everything is lush and you can just relax and smell the fresh air.

Nice trail, but muddy at times and a few large root gardens that can trip you up.

Please, please mark your trails better. Went through the Old Scarbuck Entrance following the yellow trail and ended up lost in the woods for 2 hours following misleading marked trees.

Beautiful forest just unfortunately confusing beyond belief. I even checked Instagram to see who else has checked in there to find that someone else posted about getting lost for 3 hours there.

Take a compass and know which way you'll need to be!

Nice and quiet - can be muddy at times

such a beautiful trail!

This is a nice trail. Lots of scenic and natural beauty. I would rate the difficulty as easy to slightly moderate. There were many fallen trees and branches. But overall, a nice trail to walk.

Great trail. One of my favorite in the area. Old growth forest, quiet, and peaceful.

Short, quick hike. I do believe it's more than the stated 2 miles, maybe I took an extension of it? There appears to be some old growth forest, or it is just incredibly mossy, which was really cool. Part of the forest is second growth, with pine trees in perfect rows and tight, creating a pretty cool effect. Slippery and bridges are in need of some repairs. Great place to bring the dogs.

Some trails are getting very wet and muddy due to horse riding that is allowed on selected trails (sugar bush)

This is a peaceful, well-marked trail. It's the perfect place for a quick and relatively easy hike in the woods. Enough variation to keep it interesting, without it being difficult. It has a few streams, mostly wooded. One of my favorites.

A great walk in the woods. There are 2 loops that total 3 miles. You can do both loops without backtracking.

Trail was very icy from snowshoe pack

love this place. I grew up less than 10 mins from here and we always would go for a hike on the trails when we were bored. trails are marked well. there is a steep hill to climb but once you get to the top....it is beautiful. can be muddy in spots but can walk around it. I have taken my daughter here since she was 4 and she loves it. we always see something new. if you are quiet you might get a visit from wildlife. we almost always do.
