Beautiful trails year round. Currently very icy, microspikes required.

It’s a nice trail. It was a little over grown in a few areas. Bring bug spray.

Descent, mostly easy trail.

Dogs are allowed on leash, according to signage.

This is a nice, easy set of loop trails my family and I completed on 7/14/18. Unfortunately, this area has been very dry for the past few weeks to a month and the waterfalls are mostly dry rock with small trickles here and there. The trails are well marked and very well maintained- easy to follow. Due to the dry conditions, the stream crossing from the Blue Loop to the Orange Loop was on dry rock all the way across. We look forward to returning later in the season to hopefully enjoy the beautiful waterfalls this trail is known for.

The area was a nice walk, fairly muddy though. The area near the cemetery was very well maintained. The bridge was a little scary though, and some of the boardwalks were sinking, but overall it was a nice walk.

had lots of fun here, lots of waterfalls of all sizes to see, the blue trail is extremely lacking in trail markers so taking a picture of the map is definitely beneficial

I have to say it was a nicer hike than I was expecting, based on the description. I thought it was just going to be a plain walk through the woods, which would have been fine. But, there's a big, man-made pond back there, which makes it more interesting. A sign describing how the pond came to be, signs about an old cemetery located on the property and a bridge you have to cross also add to the interest. I'd have to say I would change the rating of this walk from "Easy" to "Moderate", as well, for the following reasons. There are sections that have an awful lot of exposed roots on the trail, which makes it pretty uneven, and there are a lot of plank bridges that you have to use because it's so wet in quite a few spots. For those reasons, I would increase the level of difficulty from "Easy" to "Moderate", it's not a flat trail that would be easy for the elderly or the very young. I checked out all the trails - there is one all the way to the right back corner (green, I believe it was) that wasn't too easy to follow, and it seemed just to stop without looping back to anything. If it was intended to, I couldn't follow it any farther, to me, it just seemed to stop. You can see it on my recording of this trail. Overall, though, I enjoyed this trail and would check it out again.

They have this trail labeled as "Easy" but I would rate it more as "Moderate". It wouldn't be a trail that would be easy for the elderly or very young, due to the following, and one of the most important, in order to stay on the trail you have to cross the creek, which can be hard to do, if not impossible, depending on the depth/height of the water. When we were just there, the only way for us to cross was to shimmy across some fallen trees and then find our way back to the marked trail. There are some steep grades and a lot of the trails are uneven due to exposed tree roots. The trail markings aren't the best which can make some parts of the trail hard to follow. This is marked as "no dogs allowed" and that's also posted right at the beginning of the trail, but there are definitely people that don't pay attention to that restriction. I guess the big highlight to this trail is the waterfalls, if that's what you're looking for, it's not a long walk to get to them, maybe 15-20 minutes.

very nice hike and great waterfall spots..not the greatest for kids when there is snow near the falls ..very narrow and only a small cord to hang onto that makes it very unsafe for kids but there are other trails that are safe

nice day for a walk with the dog! be alert for the road sign to the entrance of this trail or you can easily drive past it. ( take note of the entrance sign in the photo gallery.) the parking lot is big enough for about 6 vehicles but there is plenty of parking along side of the road. the trail conditions we're a little swampy here and there today but there are no difficulties getting anywhere around. tried to walk the perimeter of the Blue Trail but it just seemed to end in the far corner on your way around. backtracked to were blue meets Red and then continued on around the trail. some of the trail markings seem to be marked a little too far apart from each other and not easily seen. all in all an interesting little hike.

another nice day to take a hike with the dog. we covered about 1.5 miles. tried to walk the outskirts of the Blue Trail but it just seemed to end in the far corner of the trail. had to slowly back track to where blue meets red to continue on around to complete the trail. no real difficulties getting around but the trails could be better marked. lots of swampy areas today. nice day, good exercise!

A nice walk. Great for kids and beginners. Very busy, don’t come looking for solitude.

This trail was a nice walk for my 2 1/2 year old son and I. There are a lot of roots that are an obstacle for little ones but still a great trail. We went at a dry time so the wood "bridges" walkways were accessible without a problem. If there were recent rain, I would see these being a problem. Very nice trail all around.

idk why all the hate on this trail. i love this trail. its a great trail. there are literally more upped roots at christman's preserve for the people talking about roots.
you know what, hate on it all you want, just means i get more peace and quiet when i go to this trail. cant believe its only got a 3 star rating.

Nice little Meandering trail with a couple of waterfalls. If it weren't for the blood-thirsty, 100+ pound, hellhound that forced me out onto a ledge-because it's owner could not control it- I would have given it an additional star. Would definitely visit again in the early spring when the waterfalls are more prominent

Used to spend everyday here in the summer as a kid growing up. Still nice to come back and visit for the fresh air and memories.

A beautiful preserve with three different types of waterfalls. The trails are very easy to navigate even though the markers are incomplete.

Kid-friendly and easy to hike, be sure to keep your eye out for pants and wildlife. Crayfish are plentiful and you may even find Indian Pipes along the trail. On this 2 mile hike my 4-year old daughter and I explored a vibrant ecosystem with creeks, dense forests, wetlands, and lush meadows.

Had a nice leisurely hike here with the kids and grandparents. Some of the trail was a bit muddy, but nothing impassable.

There was a decent amount of water going over the falls, which is rewarding to see the falls (not dried out).

The kids especially enjoyed exploring and finding critters along the way (red efts, etc).

There is a very small gravel parking lot here, and we often see cars along the road. There is a kiosk at the parking lot trail head that has information about the trail.

This place has an ice series of waterfalls and the last one has a nice sized pool of water popular for swimming. I have been here a couple times and during dry seasons the falls dry up. The parking lot is small and as this is a popular spot you may find many cars parking on the side of the road.

Nice, short easy trail. Some nice falls, a good swimming hole here and there, but swimming not allowed. Good hike if you want to get in some nature, but don't have a lot of time.
