Nice views, some steep parts. Be careful if it rains with the leaves on the ground makes for a slippery hike.

I stared at the Broccy Creek trailhead. It is a nice walk with a few steep rocky sections. Nice overlooks of the Hudson and Bear Mountain.

Enjoyed the trail. Did not enjoy the mosquitoes.

This is actually a really easy trail to follow - potentially the blazes were updated since others have done this hike. I recommend getting the map from the car park attendants om your way in. We hiked this with a 2 year old with no problems. The first view is slightly to the left of the base of the last steep climb and the second 'peak' doesn't really have a view but is just past a little but with a fire ring up a short steep path to the right of the first view. Really enjoyed our hike. We were slow due to the aforementioned two year old but in all it was about 2 hours.

Easy stroll through a pleasant forest. Lots of bugs in some areas so make sure to bring bug spray or repellent.
Unfortunately some areas are close to a shooting range so the beauty of natural silence is broken by constant fire shots.

Beautiful sceneries, exciting hikes through cliffs and river view stop points large enough for having a snack. I loved it. Perfect for moderate to high level workout. climbing sticks make it much easier to pass.

Started at the Bear Mountain Toll House early in the morning. The first part of the Camp Smith trail is very steep in places, with a lot of rock scrambling, but there are a few nice views of the Hudson along the way. It's not as well traveled as the latter part of the trail leading up to Anthony's Nose, and there were a couple of times when it was a bit of a challenge to find the blue markings. After you hit the parking area closer to Anthony's Nose you are about 2/3 of the way there, but the hardest part is still to come. Lots of rocks on the way up to the peak, with a few scenic overlooks. The view from Anthony's Nose is worth all the effort, however. Just spectacular.

This trail is a joke not well marked

Well worth great hiking trail with nice views ⛰

Lots of steady climbs and views. Snow and ice will make you pay extra attention to your steps. Cool rocks.

I love this hike. It has a fair amount of scrambling and the trail itself is rocky. I would suggest ankle support and good traction footwear especially if it is wet. Nice payoff at Anthony's Nose. Beautiful Spot. Good workout.

I hiked this trail in mid October 2017 when it was still warm out. It’s a pretty steep trail! So definitely get your trekking poles out for this one. It’s also fairly marked and well trafficked. Beautiful views at the top! I would definitely hike this one again.

great hike. definitely more difficult on the moderate hike spectrum but still do able and enjoyable. It gets crowded about a mile before Anthony's nose because there's parking for a shorter trail to the peak. nice view from the top, however we had some of the best views along the way in the first couple miles. It was very crowded at the nose. there is cars and a main road along the first couple miles as well but we didn't mind. lots of rocks. overall an awesome hike it definitely pushed us and was very rewarding!

its a nice hike... good views along most of the trail. ... however with fall foliage in peak this hike would be AMAZING like many others in the area.

Get to the trail early on the weekends...trail and peak and get quite crowded. Overall a great hike with terrific views of the Hudson

Well maintained trails but poorly / inconsistently marked. We parked at the start of one of the side trails and made our way to one of the peaks. Not very exciting views, too many trees in the way. Quite buggy.

great day hike and easy to get to by Metro North out of GCS. The town even sponsors free shuttles from train station to the trail head.

Beautiful trail. Just hard enough to be challenging. Amazing views, well kept and clearly marked. I highly recommend a visit

Fun trail with a bit of up and down. A little too close to the road for it to be totally quiet at time.

Beautiful autumn foliage but covers the trail and makes for a slippery climb and descent. Great hike for groups. Lots of big rocks for climbing. The summit is a nice view. There is a beautiful lake and picnic area at the parking lot level. Good for dogs. Would rate intermediate difficulty in fall with leaves on ground. Likely easier in summer or spring.

Very narrow trail with at least the first 20 minutes wedged in between the highway on one side and a militarily shooting range on the other (we didn't hear any guns). But not really my idea of a quiet walk out in nature. The hike might get better but we turned back after 20 minutes.
