I hiked this trail for the first time today. I don't know why this trail is marked as easy. It depends on what part of the trail you are talking about. some parts are easy, some are most certainly not. I would not recommend this trail for a beginner.

We used the Lake Bonita trailhead and created our loop on the fly based on how much progress we were making and our fatigue level. We could have shortened or lengthened the loop at several junctions. The trail was mostly dry and very well marked.

Nice trail with a great view. The trail is actually a dirt road for the most part. They are working on making new trails and the creeks and reservoir are nice. The view from the top is the highlight of the hike. Trail was mostly dry.

Great quick little hike with terrific semi-Adirondack scenery. This can totally be a running trail hike or just a quick and easy scenic hike. Once you get to the parking lot, follow the white markers until they turn into green markers and make sure you stay on the right side of the lake. There’s a picnic bench about a mile and a half into the hike. Pretty cool little hike.

It was icy where all snowshoe was packed at beginning and end. If you are careful you don’t need spikes

Nice little loop around Lake Bonita. Did this on April 1, 2018 and needed microspikes to ensure good footing. Eager to explore linkages to other trails in the main part of Moreau Lake State Park, especially the link (blue markers) to the Western Ridge Trail.

Beautiful ‘almost spring’ hike to try out. Peaceful and lucky to see a woodpecker!

Nice wooded trail hike. The out and back from the parking lot to Lake Ann is approximately a 3.6 mile hike. Took white trail marker from parking lot, turned right onto green and then just after the picnic bench overlooking Bonita lake took the trail to the right marked with lavender markers. At the lean-to you there is a new wooden deck to the edge of Lake Ann which I would describe as a pond.

A nice little trail though it is a little hard to follow the trail with all of the leaves that are down

A nice trek. Started to left side of lake and found trails to be hard to follow despite a comprehensive trail marker system in place. The leaves on the trail didn't help but I was told the first several miles of my hike were on new trails. I was hoping for views of the Hudson but they were limited. I dropped down to the road to have a look, that was nice. Went back on the power line road but had to bushwack back to trail. Continued on trails but was on limited time so bushwacked to the Grant Summit, more or less. The woods are pretty open so bushwacking was nice. Continued back then took a wrong turn onto the fire road, thought that might be a good option but it was heading down to the prison. I opted to bushwack up the hill to get back on the trail to see the lake up there, near the cabin. That was worth it. Worked my way back via the pink trail markers. My Garmin said I did 9+ miles so keep that in mind and know you can avoid the bushwacking if you want.

The view was worth the hike...however the previous reviews stating it's not well labeled are correct. our first mile was an uphill walk on a "snowmobile" trail. we then felt lost as we hit a "no trespassing" sign. when we turned around to head back down we did notice a red marker and lovely pile of rocks marking a trail. we followed a more narrow/overgrown path for about 3/4 of a mile to reach the top....and the fall views where amazing! then we just retraced our steps back to the start. there where a few labeled paths off the snowmobile trail, but no map at the start as to where they go!!

Just right for 2 mile work out.
with great views.

Very nice hike. Getting to the top of Redmond Outlook is very rewarding. Also a lot of geocaches. You could spend a full day here!

Beautiful hike with my dog. On the right side of the lake, there's a nice picnic table and a sitting bench overlooking the lake with a fantastic view. On the left side of the lake, there's a grassy covered dam that was begging for a picnic blanket to sit on and catch some rays. We loved this hike.

Trails not marked well. We took the wrong trail to start with and ended up adding quite a bit of time to our hike.

Nice loop for the family.

This is a new trail going from the upper Corinth Reservoir to Redmond's Overlook. From the overlook you look east toward Corinth and the Hudson River. On a clear day you can see the Green Mountains of Vermont in the distance. You can return down the same path you climbed up on (walking down on the other side of the reservoir) extending the hike to apx. 4 mikes or return on the logging road as shown on this route. Generally a moderate walk across a few streams with stepping stone or log bridges (nothing too difficult). Hiking poles are helpful for some of the steeper sections and switchbacks. In the winter the trail can be walked with snowshoes.
