hiked in to the blueberry lean-to’s the first day and then up seymour on our way out the next. as far as unmarked trails go, this one is one of the more obvious i’ve seen. despite extreme heat and humidity the total trip up and down took about 5 hours. most time was spent getting to the base of the mountain

A great trail as far as trails go, just remember this is a challenging one. Starts out as a long flat trail to where you begin your ascent (note: ascent trail is marked with a cairn that has a metal tea pot in it). The ascent is steep and at the top has numerous rock slides you will need to climb. Proper gear is encouraged because it can get very slippery and there are no side trails around the rock slides. Plenty of water sources along the way so if you have a filter you don’t need to worry about hydration. During the black fly season this trail can get rough.

A fun and beautiful hike in to the mountain. The mountain itself has rough sections where it is very steep and rocky! I would not bring a dog. A little sketchy at times but pays off at the end with a beautiful scene where there is a private grove looking area with pines and great overlook areas.

Icy but manageable. Amazing sunrise

I agree this hike is hard. Once you leave wars brook trail it is steep all the way to the summit. Not hard if you take your time especially on the descent. This app is wrong about distance. I tracked 14.7 miles in and out and that includes a short half mile mis turn. Trail to Seward is first caryn to the right after ward brook lean to, Seymour is the second
