Beautiful views but the app has you park on a cul de sac which takes you to a trail with no signage before reaching the Wilkinson trail. Coming back it’s confusing and feels unsafe. Would recommend going from Beacon Memorial Park entrance and not using AllTrails directions.

This is a cute little trail. Nothing overly difficult and definitely something a little different along the river.

As the other comments said, poorly marked! At some point there was a fork with 5 trails, 2 were red, 2 were unmarked, none were the trail we were following...we turned around. I’ve hiked all over the states and never been unable to follow a trail map! Oh well. Better luck next time.

Short walk...a nice little connector trail which brings you to the Wicopee trail. A stroll through old farmland.. there are remnants of the farm all over, a chimney from the old farmhouse along with a barn a short walk away. Yellow blazed

The trail is a nice trail, but far from easy. I took my two daughters and there were a lot of steep areas, some areas were narrow and one could fall off the edge of you slip. It was definitely stressful. This trail needs to be labeled properly.

One bridge (if you can call the ugly steel plates they use bridges) is out 3/4’s of a mile in. The creek isn’t too hard to cross anyway, but it’s due for a few repairs in the first mile.

Trails are well marked, the beginning is a well worn path for about a mile.

There’s a new alternate blaze green detour that takes you between the peaks rather than over them. (They have route maps posted, See pictures) There’s no real path and it’s less travelled, we enjoyed it since a foot injury prevented us from climbing higher anyway.

This route terminated at the turnpike entrance, there are no parking lots or structures nearby. You can follow the road around to reconnect with the Campbell Rd entrance.

Nice relaxing trail, no real challenges but worth it for lovely creek and spooky rock structures and walls.

we took this trail based on the “easy” rating because we weren’t really prepared to hike but wanted to do something outdoors. maybe it’s because we weren’t dressed appropriately but I would have ranked this more as a “moderate” trail. the trail was high, there was quite a bit of climbing and walking along the edge of some cliffs/hills, and there was some scrambling. it was disappointing that we could barely see the lake through most of the hike, and to complete the loop we had to walk several miles back up rte 301 which was busy with traffic. wouldn’t bring a dog or kids for this reason. had a good time, but wouldn’t take this route again.

The first half of the trail was great second half a little scary with no markers because you’re on the road. We did cut across to the Pelton Pond trail for a bit so we were not on the road. NOT 3.9 miles actually 4.6 from the kiosk on Route 301. Beautiful day White markers to Blue to beach then to Rt 301 to yellow trail back to Rt 301

Start trail by 301 by the lake and continued very close to lake only to find out that wasn't the trail! although beautiful views, not blazed. Using Alltrails app figured out the trail is on rt 301! Not safe due to traffic and no walking area. went by Canopus beach onto AT. Took right on AT (not the Canopus Trail) for a magnificant view thanks to Park Ranger suggestion. Didnt take the remaining trail on AT due to time limit but plan on returning now we know the route! Better markers needed of signed board "you are here".

Takes about 20-30 min to get there from parking. We were there at the end of the summer. So not much to see. Water Lilies were already rotting, reeds no better. We will comeback in the spring or early summer. If you go left from parking there is a water fall about 10 min away pass the red bridge. Very nice.

Not really a loop, some sections is Hike along Route 301...not the safest. But the AT portion was fun and challenging.

Beautiful views and easy hike...just be aware of the parking situation. We saw sheriffs writing tickets for all those that parked illegally, so just be aware of that. Gladly I got a legal spot...phew no tickets for me.

My absolute favorite hike in the Hudson Valley. Quiet, quick and a bit of an incline so you definitely break a sweat. I know it like the back of my hand but I find something new and beautiful every time!

Not only was this trail not a loop trail, it was not, by any means "easy". There were some difficult rocky areas where you had to climb either up or around some large boulders. This trail is not recommended for senior citizens looking for a leisurely walk through a scenic area marked easy.

Gorgeous Marsh, loved the views. very easy hike and peaceful until the helicopter's for overhead.

This trail was okay, there is a lot of a land but the view point were not the the best I have seen. It was still a pretty trail and I would say it's slightly harder. If your a new hiker this isn't a moderate trail you should start with.

simple hike, great for kids gorgeous views

perfect for beginners and if mnt. Beacon is packed and every other trail on 9d is overwelmed with brooklyn hipsters this is a nice trail most ppl dont know about. also nice if youve never hiked and want to see if youd like it or not. enjoy

It's ok. More of a stroll. Tons of mosquitos and ticks!!! We picked 10 ticks off my dog.

Awesome workout. Meh trail. Would have been great had the trail been marked accurately.

Beautiful small place to take an easy stroll with great views of the local mountains and birds. Either season is great.

Started on Red trail at trailhead on Sunnyside Rd and went up to Lambs Hill. The ascent was nice with little views through the trees. Once at the top there were more. It was a nice quick hike.

A nice hike to do with kids - we took our 15 month old and she hiked the yellow trail by the brook and part of the blue trail. Curious to see where the path on the left at the fork goes about 10 minutes in, will do that next time. It follows the brook more. Beautiful setting.

avoid all the signs telling you no trespassing, they're for that specific woods. if you keep driving up the long dirt road you will see a tennis court and you're there. strange entrance but a beautiful walk through a field, lots of abandoned chimneys and then a left alone collapsing barn. Didn't go much further than the barn because the sun was going down mostly seemed like just long trails in the woods. overall, quiet, interesting and beautiful getaway in the middle of nowhere.
