Quick stroll to a view of the falls juxtaposed with industrial sites. I got a glimpse of the end of a rainbow which was pretty cool.

Beautiful falls and surrounding area. That being said I felt like I was in jail. So much fencing and barbed wire. Very short and not much of a trail. More of an educational experience than a nature spot.

Not really a trail, good view of the falls but very short and not worth the time

Not a place to hike really or run. Went here after doing some other hikes and ate lunch while looking at the falls. It was really peaceful.

Great, short trail with beautiful views of the falls. Lots of woodchucks. Steep hill/stairs required.

A nice paved trail with beautiful views of the falls and power plant. There are interesting historical/geographical info signs and a park at the top of the cliffs. Lots of stairs though, so be aware of that! Also not much shade, so a good one for sun-lovers lke my bf. This is one of his favorite places to stop when we are driving through the area. The riverbed area is supposedly open sometimes, but it never has been while we were there. Parking is on the south side of N Mohawk street. Be sure to visit in the spring or after a storm when the water is rushing.

It is nice but nothing to go crazy over. Go once and that's enough for me at least.

Trail was closed today due to high water. We walked down to the Cohoes Falls overlook park and hard some great views of the raging water. We managed to see one immature bald eagle flying up-river.

You get a beautiful view of the Cohoes Falls. Highly suggested after a heavy rainstorm or early spring (durning snowmelt). Picnic tables available. Can get down close to the bottom via a long straight set of stairs with 100+ steps or a curved easy trail. This is for the "get out of the house" hike for a little bit, hike. :30 to 1 hour tops and you've seen it all.
Cohoes Falls is 2nd largest Falls in NY only after Niagara Falls. Catch it when it's roaring and it really is awe inspiring.

Nice walk, beautiful views. NO DOGS allowed ... Thank goodness it's a short walk in and out... We had to take turns while someone stayed with the dog. You can leisurely do the whole walk in about 20 minutes.

A nice short walk with a long and steep set of stairs, but the view is absolutely breathtaking. There is an area for fishing as well which is really neat, but the falls are a must see for everyone. Driving through the town you will see some beautiful architecture as well.

While the trail is short, urban, and mostly man-made, the falls themselves are very impressive. Views of Cohoes Falls vary from the top to bottom, and probably from season to season as well. I will go back in winter to see the frozen falls (if it gets cold enough this year).

I live in Saratoga Springs, and it amazes me that I hadn't heard of Cohoes Falls until I lived here for over ten years. Many I talk to haven't heard of it either.

these directions will bring you to the trail. the trail is yucky. tons of garbage and LOTS broken glass. might be nice in winter and it looks like a really fun dirtbike trail though! went in about a mile to view the falls then turned back. the woods around the trail aren't even nice.... a very disappointing trail :(

The falls were nice however the trail was overgrown past the falls.

We have enjoyed this trail in all seasons but it always amazes us how the falls look when they are frozen over. Great trail for the kids - just watch the edge.

Beautiful local scenery. Biggest waterfall in New York besides Niagara Falls. Somewhere to go and sit and look all day.
