Good view of Manhattan and the bridge. Some old fort buildings and cannons.

Nice little walk. Saw a deer when I went in October while waiting for my car to get repaired in the garage near by. Also lots of birdhouses from an area wide birdhouse making event. Saw alot of cool ones.

Ruff for bikes. Lots of ruts, rocks, and mud.

One of the most wonderful places to walk in NYC. Can be a bit crowed at times.

Paved. Lovely place.

Nice, quiet paved trail perfect for walking or trail running!

You don’t come to NY for the hiking trails. This is basically just an elevated sidewalk, crowded & noisy, but it does have greenery & places to sit, along with some interesting architectural views.

Spent a lovely day on the High line. It was very beautiful and peaceful. Beautifully done and I highly recommend everyone go and enjoy the beauty!!!

We did this walk because it was raining so we didn’t want to hike a mountain. Nice little hike, beautiful homes all along the way, makes me want to play the lottery and hope for a win! Flat walk with markers all around of the nearby mountains and their elevation. Ends in town, lots of stores to look around in.

Nice flats to run and walk. City is trying hard to revitalize the park and you can see it with the landscaping. Nice scenic view to take your mind of running.

Trail is paved and is located on the outskirts of Niagara Falls State Park. Offers a decent view of the Niagara Gorge. Not as heavily trafficked as the central trails at the park, but the views aren't as spectacular either. Give it a 4 star only because it's a part of the overall experience of visiting the falls.

Easy bike ride; the trail is well maintained and one can stop for great icecream at Trailside Cafe.

Nice walk. Definitely not a hike. Expected it to be more scenic.

Skip this one. As others have said, it disappears 100 yards in. Shame, someone put a lot of work into this at one time. Wish I lived closer I’d take a shot at bringing it back.

This is something I recommend to everyone visiting the city. It provides a different view of the city and was a great way to repurpose the old railroad.

Awful trail. Not maintained, not well marked whatsoever. Agree that you should bring a weed wacker to go on this trail. Looks like it could have been a great hike and so disappointed that we turned back after into it for about half mile. I get my boys to hike with me every summer and this was a bust. Looks like it might have been an eagle scout project. Unfortunately, it was a "one and done"... finish the project and then no one takes care of it. :(

Relaxing walk/run around Mirror Lake. Lots of tourists and busy place but very nice.

Great bike trail if you are looking for car free riding. I would recommend biking from North to South, as there is a slight decent this direction. My wife and I biked 34 miles from Tarrytown to Brewster, then took the train back to the city afterwards. The train conditions are amazing, but we were disappointed by the lack of public facilities along the route. There are no water fountains, or public restrooms for the entire length of the trail (including both the North County Trail and Putnam Trail sections). Furthermore, the trail doesn't really go through that many towns, so it's important to bring plenty of water. There are a few gas station stops along the way, so refill you water bottles when you can.

I finally did the trail from Millwood to the end in Brewster. Took me 5 hours. I love this trail. It’s peaceful.

love it! well maintained and not over populated. great for getting in a quick walk or run.

Nice enough walk, paved. But it is still an active coast guard base, the map provided is not an accurate map for public use. If you know the area it’s easy to navigate around the government property. If you don’t know the area, visit the visitor center at New York ave and Marshall rd first. There’s a good parking lot there as well.

This is a nice stroll around the lake not a hike.Good restaurants along the way, smoke signals is our favorite, and you have some good views of mirror lake from the other side.

This is such a wonderful example of the repurposing power of landscape architecture. It's a very flat walk for all ages, skill levels and elevators provide universal access for all to enjoy.

Easy and touristy!

Relaxing walk thru the park. Gentle grades...very nice “citi-view” from the top of the 0.2 loop. LFG-PGRD

Well I came here with my two boys to see what this trail is all about and I wasn’t too happy with it! First of all limited parking at the depot parking area by the station. It’s also so boring!!! I am used to seeing scenery and taking pictures and there was nothing to see except boring trees and scary buildings!!!

As we began riding my little one who’s 4yrs old almost lost control as I was directing both of my sons to your right, a fast biker came flying by and scared my little one , had him almost heading off a cliff. I screamed so loud... smh... As we continued I found that this trail makes no sense. There is fencing in areas but not where their is a cliff, where someone can actually fall off to god knows where... so as we continued we also passed abandoned buildings, quite scary you don’t know who’s around... you also pass by people’s back yards, barking dogs with probably a 2-3 ft fence which had us scared it would hop over as it was barking from my sons training wheels making loud noises!!!

I feel it needs a lot of improvements.. more fencing where their is dangerous areas where kids can fall off and perhaps a separate lane for fast bikers. Path is too narrow, there was a disabled person which their bike took up half of the lane causing us to ride on the grass. So I feel they need to improve on that!!

this is one of my favorite places to go in NYC. it gets really crowded, though, so push to go early early or during a light rain or something.
