Nice very short hike. There are steep sections but easy terrain. Nice view of Loon Lake at the top. Took us only about 20 minutes to get to the top (with two kids).

The trail looked more like a river, I wouldn’t recommend doing this trail anytime soon.

Short, but steep little hike! Took about 13 minutes to climb up. The view was a lot better than I expected for such a short climb. I recommend doing this one if you are completing the Chester Challenge.

Very short, but steep little trail. Took us about 10 minutes to climb up, not much of a view. You park in the North Warren High School parking lot and then it’s a short walk to the trailhead. *Part of the chester challenge

An extremely short mountain to hike. The view is ok (for such a short mountain).

It’s a short walk up a hill, nothing special.

Not great. It’s really overgrown; it’s not suitable for hiking, it’s more suitable for skiing.

The bridge is out. You can’t hike the full trail unless you want to get really wet.

Forgot to turn off record on way home - hike was done long before recording ended. Oops. Nice easy trail, probably about a mile tops round trip. Good views for the ease of hike - perfect for older/younger/new hikers!

Easy hike for any level, even for young ones

Really short hike. A great hike for people who don’t have a lot of endurance or those trying to get the Chester Challenge Pin!

I really enjoyed this hike. We did this hike right after we hiked Meade and Beckman Mountains. The start of the trail was icy but doable with just hiking boots without spikes. Where the trails begins to get steep was conveniently dry and very easy to navigate. You get a stunning view of distant peaks at the top.

I Great hike on 3/22/20. 3 year old made it no problem. Great view at the top. **Please keep your dogs leashed. A family had 2 labs who were not and they allowed them to go-ahead out of sight. Our dogs were leased but a dog fight did still happen....

Still quite a bit of ice and snow as of 3/14. Nice short jaunt through the woods, but no good views other than a peek at Gore Mountain from the top. There is an array of cross country skiing trails intersecting, so you can wind up off trail if you don’t pay attention. There is also quite a bit of downed trees and material from recent winter ice and snow storms.

my only bad part of this trail the lack of trail labelling. seemed very confusing and disorganized. but, overall, super pretty place to walk around and check out.

Spikes are recommended. Sign at top is down.

Snowshoe this morning. Nice easy well marked trail but you’re only a few feet from the road for most of it. Takes a little something away from the experience.

Had the perfect day for a winter hike. The trail was well traveled so the snow was packed down. View was outstanding.

The road to the parking lot is ROUGH - lots of holes and is not plowed in the winter. The hike itself is wildly boring. It is a flat stroll to a leech invested swamp. NOTE: the road crosses over private property and we were yelled at for parking in the wrong area. All in all, I’d skip this hike.

Nice little hike, went out as part of the Chester Challenge. We had abnormally warm weather so winter hikers were sufficient. I took the marked “un-maintained” section of trail by the pond and was surprised by no snow for a significant distance. Great way to start a day.
