Trail was completely unkept, with knee high grass and no work arounds to avoid it. Was really looking forward to this hike, only made it part was through before turning back.

This is a great easy hike for people of all abilities. I did it in a little over an hour with my 4 year old. There is not a ton to see but it is nice to be in the woods.

I would consider this more of an easy trail compared to a moderate trail. the loops are labeled but we still got kind of mixed up with the trail map on the app vs the signage on the trails. This trail is a mycophile's paradise.

Great trail. Lots of mushrooms! A few of the trail and road intersections were a bit confusing, but for the most part, everything was well marked. Not strenuous, would be good for mountain biking, also. Signs posted saying bikes welcome.

Very pleasant well marked trails. Not strenuous. Many interesting fungi!!

Nice little hike. Very enjoyable. Clean, well maintained and well marked.

It would be nice if the map at sign-in area actually showed the white loop and how the other color marked trails tie in.

Take your bug spray and you should be fine.

Small lookout area but was a beautiful view!

Took the dogs for a hike today. Nice day, no bugs, nice trail with minimal inclines. Steam beds almost dry with no moving water this time of year. Met about a dozen hikers on the trail.

Great short hike.

Well-marked and not overly strenuous. The "moderate" rating may be more for the length, and less for the overall difficulty. Some inclines, but a mostly moderate forest path.

A really nice area to hike; short or long, you can define the kind of loop you want. Starting with the nice kiosk at the front, the area is well maintained. The view does take some walking to get to and it's fair at this time of year (but probably beautiful in the fall). I will definitely return.

I hiked on part of this Preserve yesterday with my wife and grandson and enjoyed it. I parked in a lot at the beginning of Partridge Run Road off Route 6 and followed the turquoise blazes down Partridge Run Road and found a couple beautiful waterfalls in the stream below and found trails down to them. Then we continued on Partridge Run Road over two bridges, one barricaded to prevent motor traffic. Also saw newts, a toad, and some wildflowers including wild roses.

We came to do the Indian ladder which was closed. The loop was a nice leisurely hike, but not very scenic.

This was a nice quick 4.8 mile trek of the southern end of the park. It was muddy starting out due to the rain and snow melt, then it wasn't so bad down the trail. It was a nice spring day where there was people out hiking and having picnics.

Part of the Thather Park trail system. Good footing. Can be hilly. Lot more trail miles available. Geology includes rock fissures that are not always easy to see if you leave the trail. A great place to trail ride.

Trail is not well marked. Grass is very tall. Water was dried up, but maybe it will be a redo when the waterfall is running.

I hiked this trail on 3-19-16. If you choose to hike this trail, I strongly recommend printing a map and knowing how to read it. The trails were generally marked with orange discs and green blazes. We saw a few waterfalls along the way, and a few ponds. We spotted pheasants, ducks, pileated woodpeckers, robins and many other birds during our visit. We did not have time to hike all the trails and will be back again.

I liked this hike - it is mostly snowmobile trails marked with orange blazes or green painted on trees. Not hard to follow and nice scenery. Hiked a total of 8.25 miles and saw about 3 ponds and a couple decent waterfalls.

The sites are beautiful! I went with my fiancé during leaf peeping season the gold and red of the leaves were breathtaking. We even saw a deer running though the woods only a few feet from the trail. The lake and pond were gorgeous and made for beautiful photos. However the constant sounds of gun fire and passing a hunter was unnerving. The trail was not clearly marked. And at some point it seemed to just end. We ended up just barreling through the woods until we found the road, which we walked back to our car. The trail is marked dog friendly. But with hunters all over the place I wouldn't recommend bringing them. Also when we got home we realized our pooch was covered in ticks.

I hiked this trail and I have to say I was pretty let down. overall the scenery was nice and the hike itself was pretty easy. however the trails are horribly marked and just trying to figure out what way your supposed to go adds quite a bit of stress and unwanted time to your hike. I wouldn't go back here again.

I am baffled that hunting is not on the list of activities. I have hunted partridge run many times before and as well as the views being impeccable, the hunting is also very good. I strongly suggest this to my fellow sportsmen and women.
