this is an excellent trail many different options to take I took the red trail to the blue trail nice walk not as buggy as I would have thought can't wait to try a different trail here in the fall all in all great hike nice flat ground

This was a very easy trail; no mud, only slightly overgrown for a very short bit, no sharp inclines or declines. It happened that the weather was perfect (68 degrees, dry for several days, sunny, low humidity), so my only complaint was something that can’t be fixed: it is an out-and-back trail. This is a beautiful forested trail, well marked and well taken cared of.

quaint, well marked, lots of trails, excellent for dog walking! Will return regularly !!

Fun place to walk my dog. Some good spots for her to play in water. Mostly shady but bring bug spray!!!

I’ve done some of these trails before. Great for bringing kids.....today it was just extra buggy.

This trail is located in the country knolls neighborhood, that said, you wouldn’t know you were in a neighborhood 90% of the time. It’s essentially a figure 8 trail with multiple crossover trails. The map above is the perimeter of the trial, and the little haunts to the outside of the trail show where the multiple entrances are to the trail system. There are multiple small streams that go through the area with either a small bridge or planks to cross over. You are always going up or down a knoll with hardly a flat stretch on the trail. Depending on what part of the trail you are on it can be buggy during the summer, especially down by the main creeks. Despite only 300’ of elevation gain, I would rate this as moderate. It’s a great hike for families to bring kids on but would be very tiring to carry a child in a carrier.

Cute trail, lots of bugs.

Very nice and easy trail. Lots of shades. Flat and dry, good for taking dog with. Lots of mosquitos though.

wonderful walk but very buggy!

Pretty darn buggy today.

Well maintained trail and easy to navigate. Very shaded so it didn’t get too hot either. There are different trail colors which makes it fun to explore the different trails. Bugs weren’t too bad for this time of year.

have walked this many times .. will be back again and again .. love it in spring ..water flowing yes a bit muddy ..but that's why they make boots .. summer gets buggy .. fall walks are the best ..even in winter bring spikes

Beautiful trails. Nice place to go jogging. Bring some bug spray.

Beautiful walking trails. I was surprised to come across some historic sites within. This is a very peaceful place to walk around in. Great place for birdwatchers to visit. Definitely bring bug spray. I wore my bug net most of the walk because the bugs were out in full force.

This is the best, most accessible, and most interesting trail that my wife and I have walked yet! I am disabled (RA) but had no problem walking the entire perimeter of this park. The paths are well marked and well maintained, hard packed with very little mud, and mostly flat. I wouldn’t recommend bringing a baby carriage or using a wheelchair due to a few spots that are rocky or have exposed tree roots. There are a number of small creeks and run-offs that are crossed by nice bridges and solidly placed planks. There are a couple of ruins of old buildings, and quite a few old rock walls. We stopped a couple of times to just listen to birds and running water. This is a very easy trail, but be prepared to spend at least 2 hours walking if you want to see most of the property.

Beautiful forest, trails well marked & maintained. Lots of bridges & planks over water & muddier areas with just a couple spots of pretty shallow mud to get thru/around. Ran into some older folks out walking for one of the ladies’ 92nd birthday! Not stroller or wheelchair friendly. Absolutely going back to explore bit of trail we didn’t get to. Oh and do bring your bug spray and even then you’ll have to deal with gigantic horse flies so wearing a cap or hat might be helpful to keep them out of your hair.

Although this trail is marked moderate, I would say its on the easier side of moderate. I am completely out of shape and just over 50. Family friendly but I don’t know that I’d take a stroller. Very buggy, bring your spray! Overall a well kept path, loops around a stagnant pond which prob accounts for the king sized skeeters! Gets your heart going a little for sure! No mud today.

Great little trail to bring carry on kids, and little hikers.

Great hike with kids. There was some mud but main trail was dry and many wet areas had planks/bridges. Old fireplaces, and building remnants to check out, and many different trail options.
