Everyone complaining about not being able to follow the trail needs to get a clue!

I saw a lot of great birds.

The trails are not easily identifiable or marked. Many of them were covered in leaves which made it harder to keep track of. As a first timer, it was incredibly confusing to keep straight. I ended up following what may have been part of one of the trails or perhaps an access road. It spit me out on a road a half mile away from the parking area. I was just thankful to see road after realizing I was off the map!

Not much to see and the trail marking system seems more complicated than necessary.

Great trails, not an overly difficult hike but I would definitely bring a trail map until you're used to the trails. The color coding is a bit odd and hard to see at times on the trees. I did lose my way once or twice. But they are working on updating the trails and have added a few new trails.

Ran into one of the trail curators on our way in. She apologized for the trail being rough and let us know that it was under construction. With that being said in a few places the markers were easy to lose and you definitely need to watch where you walk around the limestone because of gaping. None of this posed a serious problem, the gaping lead way to some pretty cool pictures and the trails were not hard to find again. The trail is easy to walk with beautiful scenery. I can't wait for some snow to cross country ski this trail.

Also if you live in this area they are looking for volunteers to help clean up and possibly remark this trail. Even if it's just once a year: www.mohawkhudson.org/ under Join Us

Nice trails, some portions not marked so well so make sure you grab a trail map when you start. QR codes on some portions of the trail, provided some interesting history\ information.

We enjoyed a nice walk along the trails in the preserve today - great day for a snowshoe hike. We enjoyed the stone walls. Very little topo for those who want to bring young kids.
