Cool wildlife but it smelt really gross.

Well I came here with my two boys to see what this trail is all about and I wasn’t too happy with it! First of all limited parking at the depot parking area by the station. It’s also so boring!!! I am used to seeing scenery and taking pictures and there was nothing to see except boring trees and scary buildings!!!

As we began riding my little one who’s 4yrs old almost lost control as I was directing both of my sons to your right, a fast biker came flying by and scared my little one , had him almost heading off a cliff. I screamed so loud... smh... As we continued I found that this trail makes no sense. There is fencing in areas but not where their is a cliff, where someone can actually fall off to god knows where... so as we continued we also passed abandoned buildings, quite scary you don’t know who’s around... you also pass by people’s back yards, barking dogs with probably a 2-3 ft fence which had us scared it would hop over as it was barking from my sons training wheels making loud noises!!!

I feel it needs a lot of improvements.. more fencing where their is dangerous areas where kids can fall off and perhaps a separate lane for fast bikers. Path is too narrow, there was a disabled person which their bike took up half of the lane causing us to ride on the grass. So I feel they need to improve on that!!

I absolutely love walking the battlefield. A great place to connect with nature and history while pushing a stroller.

Very relaxing ride

did this trail as part of the tupper lake triad. it was cloudy with light rain, still a very pleasant trail.

Was a really nice bike ride

The trail is wonderful and I would give it a 5 star rating were it not for very poor sign posts.

Such a fun walk. Bring your pooch!

Very nice hike. Really awesome that the first bit is paved for wheelchair access. However, a decent portion of the paved path has become eroded/bumpy and I would imagine having difficulty actually using it with a wheelchair. Hiking it is no issue whatsoever, and the rest of the trail is in great shape and is well-maintained and marked. Of the three Tupper Triad hikes, it's just not quite as exciting as the other two in my opinion. Even so, still well worth the hike with beautiful views at the top.

My wife and I parked in the Parker Ave lot on the Poughkeepsie side. 3.1 Miles or 5k to the caboose on the highland side. Beautiful view, nice breeze and NO BUGS. Go early before the summer heat. Say Hi or nod to your fellow travelers it will brighten both your days

Nice little park, well-maintained but also heavily used.
Pond is stocked with trout. Plenty of benches and a nice walkway through a wetland,

Wonderful trail for biking, running, walking and even roller blading.

Friendly to all ages and families and dogs.

During the spring, summer and the beginning of fall you can see lots of wildlife. Especially ducks and geese. If you’re lucky you’ll see swans.

Plenty of people fish off the bridges or near the shore of the lake. I’ve even seen people wade in the river when it’s nice.

didn't get a chance to walk, DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED

Nice views over the Hudson!

Beautiful summer afternoon for a hike. The bright sun and cool breeze made for an enjoyable walk to Lock 19. We saw several blue herons and a huge snapping turtle in the old canal.

The only drawback today was the copious amount of goose poop in several locations along the path. There was so much that it smelled like the poultry barn at the county fair.

Nice loop around Prospect Park, fully paved the whole way. Pedestrian walkway on the left, bikes down the middle. Good views of the lawns, with tons of BBQs and picnickers on an early summer day. You'll also pass by the lake about half way through. Last half mile or so is a gentle little climb. Worth checking out Grand Army Plaza and the beautiful Bailey Fountain, which are adjacent to the park.

Lovely but poorly marked trails.

This was our second hike this morning in our quest to complete the TL Triad. There were lots of mosquitoes despite it only being between 45-50 degrees. Bug repellent is a must!

I didn't walk far with my dog bc the trail was infested with ticks! Usually They hide in plants, so I thought, but they were all over on the path. Think it would be a good trail without a dog, but wouldn't recommend bringing your dog.

Beautiful and quiet. However, the trails along the river a not all that well marked. The tow path along the old canal is straight and flat good for an easy walk, bike or run.

Diverse scenery between wooded areas, lake views, and meadows. Clear and well maintained trails for an easy outing. Plenty of opportunities for wildlife and bird watching.

Nice easy walk! Beautiful view at the top!

Nice and easy walk with views to the falls through different points in the area. Crossing the bridge gives you panoramas of the city.

The hill definitely offers a challenge but it sure is fun going back down on your bike.
