Lovely trail. Not too busy. Amazing views especially from the summit. Pretty wildflowers and cool temperatures.

The view at the end of this hike is incredible. it is mostly downhill on the way there but uphill on the way back. took us about 3 hours with a 30 minute break at the end of the trail.

easy hike with some amazing views!

Came to the top of mountain to see the view without knowing of this trail’s existence. Was very pleasantly surprised upon finding the trail and the views it afforded. Would certainly recommend to others.

The really outstanding views are blocked by trees for the majority of the hike, but if you can make it to the end of the trail, I guarantee you will be rewarded :)

See recording from today. The only parts recorded are an easier way to access Oso Ridge from Embudito (it’s just the second left after the Embudito trail marker), a direct way to South Peak from the top/end of the Oso Ridge trail, and the path back through Embudito Canyon off of Embudito trail (which cuts at least half a mile off the trip and of course is another great way up).

Great hike to do on a snowy Sunday. The tram was busy but the rest of the trail was empty.

This hike has the best view from the top! It snowed on us the whole way. One thing it doesn’t tell you is when you reach what looks like end on this app you reach a intersection and go through the fence and it takes you to the top! Great time for sure

the stairs at the switchback get slippery. beware.

great for running, despite the rocks it's doable.

The top of the mountain has a gorgeous skyline view of the mountains and the City of Albuquerque. My German Shepherd also enjoys this trail. At the trailhead, they do have a bathroom facility. I recommend you go early, as there is limited parking.

This is such a fun hike. The views are breathtaking and the trails are clearly labeled. I cannot wait to go back and expand more on the hike!

Gradual incline up, nice views towards the top! Lots of worn rocks on trail, but not too bad to manage. Nice easy to follow trail that winds in and out of forest to ridge top. Good workout!

This trail is an excellent trail which begins from the same trail head as the Sandia Cave Trail, just take the trail that leads up the mountain on the right after leaving the parking lot.
The easy to follow trail is mostly shady and not very rocky. I did not go all the way to the end because I had limited time but next time I will. The views of the canyon are spectacular!

Pretty easy hike for beginners (me). The smells and sights were lovely and there wasn't much traffic. There's also a cave close to the start which is fascinating. And I was proposed to during this hike, so that just made the whole thing wonderful.

Amazing views, trail was easy to follow. Flowers were fully bloomed. If you're looking for a quick workout this is it! The rocks are slippery on the way down and it's a little narrow in some spots..but I enjoyed having no cactus bites ;)

Was a nice easy to moderate hike. I would rate it moderate because the trail is pretty rocky in some areas and requires some dexterity. Hiking boots definitely are a plus.

The turn off to the parking area isn't marked so be on the lookout for it. There are also no picnic tables, so if you want to relax and hang out a bit, bring chairs. Finally, the bathrooms were locked and not available.

Was an enjoyable hike with Husband, 9 yr old daughter, and myself.

Got a little lost on the way up, but that's just from the bad signal with my gps! Like a few others I took Oso Ridge up then followed south crest trail to take embudito trail down. Oso Ridge is pretty steep at some parts so Embudito was a little easier to come down! Ended up at 11.5 miles total, the views at the top are absolutely worth it (:

Perfect day hike length and elevation. Flowers blooming all the way up. View at top is spectacular....

Gradual hills and a perfect distance for a lunch hike.

who is a nice hike little over 3 miles round-trip. I did not care much for the trail. dense forest no views. but it was great out in the fresh air nice and cool not hot.

Loved it!! A nice easy trail for my kids to do, and not so long that they couldn't finish it. There were definitely a lot of rocks along the trail. It was beautiful scenery in the forest with trees, wildflowers, and even a cave along the trail close to the start of it! I would definitely do this hike again. It took us a little over an hour to do the entire hike (although I wanted to go faster but was going the pace of my son).

One little note - the parking area was kind of rough and there were no signs to indicate that it was a trailhead there. We found a sign just past the outhouse (that was locked) to indicate the trail.

Great views

beautiful trail!!! one of my new favorites! the way back felt like a completely different trail and the vibe of the trees, alpine meadows, wildflowers, and wildlife felt like Yosemite. A baby mule deer walked straight towards us which elevated the nature magic too.

Easy hike with a great view of the city at the end. Most of the trail is shaded with trees. Pretty crowded on the weekend, but if you can get there on weekday morning you'll only see a few folks. Also be sure to bring $3 for parking.
