Only did about half of T93 and then returned the same way. Absolutely beautiful and not heavily trafficked which made for a quiet and peaceful hike. We did it in the fall but it would be a good summer trail because it has a lot of shade along the path. Next time we are aiming to finish the whole loop.

The trail was really pretty. It had a little waterfall and great views!

easy hike around the lake. I was short on time and could only go two miles in. But was worth it as I was the only hiker on the trail.

Great hike, but there were areas on both T92 and T93 that you might want hiking poles.

Awesome views of the lake and the surrounding mountains. I even ran into a band of wild horses! The path becomes harder to follow, and less traveled once you reach the Mesa loop. The trail (if going in and out) is longer than what this says according to my Fitbit. Great hike!

Great exercise and beautiful views! The creeks were wonderful and peaceful. The whole trail is actually closer to 7 miles. We will definitely come back and make sure to have more time to stop and enjoy more of the scenery. We went late in the afternoon so we rushed it. It began to snow/sleet which made for beautiful snow covered trees.

Thoroughly enjoyed this hike! The canyon with the stream and the wildflowers was lovely. The hike up to the ridge was a little strenuous but totally worth it. The views from the ridge were amazing. Saw 5 mule deer and elk tracks. Took T93 the whole way to extend our hike and avoid the difficulties since mentioned with T92.

Beautiful hike but more like eight miles if you go all the way to the ridge line. Met a great crew of guys working on the trail.

Very enjoyable hike. Took my wife and dog. My dog thoroughly enjoyed all the opportunities to run in the stream that follows the trail most of the way. Only the last kilometer i would rate moderate or slightly difficult because of the loose rocks. The view from the top is gorgeous.

Loved it! Almost 7 miles is a long trek for a beginner hiker, but I made it and will definitely do it again. It was just beautiful!

Took my Citified wife on this trail. She struggled a bit on the return thru the miners trail, but worth going that route. Good little hike

nice clean easy for kids. we saw deer and the are bathrooms at the beginning of the trail. you can fish the lake with a license

I would rate the first 2-3 miles as a 5 star even with the burnt trees. After that the trail is challenging to find due to not being maintained. Lots of briars so wear pants and make sure and bring a walking stick. Be prepared to lose the trail several times but I guess that’s part of the adventure. I will say I am not a master hiker so others may keep on track better than myself but wouldn’t go if your not confident.

Overall it’s a good trail but needs maintenance before I would ever go back. I ended up getting caught in a thunderstorm and made my way over to ski Apache to hike back to my truck and cut it short.

Great trail not far from town. I would rate most of the trail fairly easy and on the lower end of moderate but I also didn’t have time to do the entire loop. T93 has lots of little creeks to cross and plenty of scenery. It was the best trail for my dog that we hiked all weekend and enjoyed the wildlife. I ran into 5 or 6 people so it’s lightly traveled.

Great family hike. Took us one hour with three kids. Saw deer three times. Beautiful with lots of chances to take a break.

Very pretty. Small waterfall at the bottom and we saw three deer.

We were looking for a nice long hike to take in some views and this fit the bill perfectly. Ambling along the ridges between Monjeau Peak and Buck Mountain, the trail offered beautiful wild flowers and 360 degree views of the surrounding peaks and forest.

Infrequent hikers may find the trail strenuous for it’s length and difficulty in trail finding at points. Cairns mostly keep you on track but we found ourselves off trail into some unpleasant spiny brush a time or two.

The only major draw back was the wet summer that had grown up thorn, thistle and all manor of irritable foliage into the path in places. If hiking in late summer, wear long pants.

Overall, quite enjoyable.

Went up the canyon on TR93 great hike along the creek lots of water flowing after a few days of heavy rain. Great views from the top, the trail down the ridge TR92 is pretty bad with lots of erosion damage. Treking poles highly recommended very loose steep rocky terriean. Next time I will just go back down TR93 it is way more fun and shady. Looks like a new MTB trail going in as well.

Great easy recovery walk.

Excellent hike

A very nice hike with great views. Mileage listing for the FULL Plateau Loop hike is a bit misleading. From the lake parking lot trailhead the hike to the beginning of the loop at the plateau would be be about 7.6 miles out and back. However, the "loop" trail at the plateau adds another 3.4 miles for a total of 11 miles out and back. Hiking the plateau was almost completely flat with second half the the loop much prettier than the first half which had been heavily forested and was burned. We saw four wild mustang horses that didn't seem to like us being there but we're beautiful to see

Ran the loop in about 1 hour, 20 minutes. For the most part, trail is in good shape with moderate elevation gains and losses. Almost no one on trail after the 2 mile marker. Also biked this trail... gets dicey in spots but a great workout!

Was really excited to try this one out but was very disappointed. It looked like there had been a fire (possibly a controlled burning) and the trail was very hard to follow, had to search for the trail ahead multiple times, many trees to step over, lots of overgrowth in the path, and very steep half of the time. Definitely needs lots of maintenance or at least a warning at the beginning of the trial.

Nice hike but on the high end of moderate. The last 1.5 Miles was walking a very loose and rocky dirt road of an abandoned house community. Looks like they got the roads and the fire hydrants put in but stopped. Now the roads are deteriorating to the point of difficult to walk down.

Beautiful trail. Great for a low key hike in the morning.

This trail has everything, great views, easy to follow, easy, moderate & challenging in different areas, lightly trafficked, just a really enjoyable trail to hike. I would suggest starting on T93 and then T92.

Had a great walk with the family today. Just the right amount of ups and downs.

This was my first trail to ever hike and it was amazing! Nice path to follow. Not to steep, but at times a bit challenging. The map says 6.7 miles, but Runkeeper app said 7.0. Some signage was a little confusing, but I’m a novice so it was probably just me. Definitely take water. I didn’t need a walking stick, but the other 5 people I encountered had them. It took me 2 hours 10 minutes, but I went pretty fast. I’m 51 and 120lbs and in pretty good shape. It was sunny and warm when I went at 10:00am, but big storms came in afternoon so make sure you check the weather. Would have been bad to have gotten stuck in that storm.

Started at T93 and the hike up was good. You will know when you start the steep assent up to the top. It can be steep at times but manageable. Once you make the top, the views are great. At the top, you will see the split where T93 crosses with T92. Once you start the steep descent down, it can be very rocky. The last 1.3 miles or so is basically a dirt road loaded with rocks of all shapes and sizes. Footing can be very unstable at times. That made the trail less enjoyable.

Good trail. Fairly steep at the north end starting point then a 1/2 mile in its all down hill; until you turn around, then a moderate uphill.
