Great easier type hike! Great wide open vista views 360 degrees. Well marked and maintained trails, clean potty at trail head. Beautiful weather for January, and good for winter hikes. Same hike in July would be brutal anytime after 10am. Was a little disappointed that both the bigger volcano trails were closed for habitat rehab. You can still summit the center volcano, but the far north and south ones are closed to hiking. I'm completely on board with the habitat rehab, hopefully they will open a trail or 2 up to those summits sometime in the future.

We started at T93 and hiked the loop to T92 back to our car. Spectacular views, and signs of wildlife everywhere. Well marked, aside from a few wooden trail signs knocked over, but just follow T92 and you'll stay on track. Time well spent, phenomenal hike.

love it, multiple trails, great scenery. a vault toilet or outhouse would be nice, but not available. parking is level and we'll maintained with 2 covered picnic tables.

Not the best trail for mountain biking. Some spots require dismounting. Great walking trail however, with awesome views.

Great trail, took my wife and kids.

nice trail.......did it right after work ......nice 3 miles in under an hour!

One of my favorite NM rides by far. Amazing views every 15 minutes.

tough if you aren't used to the altitude, as we were. But beautiful scenery through the volcanic areas.

A nice hike alongside volcanoes in the wide open Albuquerque land. Easy through most, moderate in some areas. Rocky trail mixed with a few patches of sand. Watch your step!

My husband and I really enjoyed the 5+ mile loop. It was definitely moderate with some steep uphills and loose footing in places. The views were awesome. Would do it again for sure

Easy trail with nice views of the city. I must have overlooked a portion of the loop, because it didn’t seem to be the full 3 miles, but it was still a nice, peaceful hike.

My girlfriend and I hiked this trail mid-day in a Friday. Did not encounter anyone. The trail wasn’t to bad to hike and had great views, Overlooking the forest and within. We came across plenty on wild life and was able to hear an elk close by but did not see it. I recommend this trail if you are in the area. But it can be difficult if you’re not in decent shape.

Trail was nice and the view was well worth it. Be advised it was a little over 7 miles though.

Giant loop, with option to add in an additional loop. The trail doesn't provide shade - but the views are AMAZING. Worth it.

Great round trip for 3 miles. It's a nice easy hike and great for training.

nice walk thru amazing history. los alamos is a neat little town in its own right. more exercise for your brain, not so much your body

Great hike, moderate difficulty is accurate. About a mile stretch in the middle is more challenging, but as one other reviewer said, put it in low gear and grind it out. Views are spectacular and plentiful. Didn't encounter any other hikers on a Saturday morning so lightly hiked, but trails are well marked.

Great for biking. Never have to cross a street.
