A good trail to memory the scientists who work for the atom bomb. In my opinion, Technology has no good or bad. The important think is how human uses it.

Nice hike but on the high end of moderate. The last 1.5 Miles was walking a very loose and rocky dirt road of an abandoned house community. Looks like they got the roads and the fire hydrants put in but stopped. Now the roads are deteriorating to the point of difficult to walk down.

This trail has everything, great views, easy to follow, easy, moderate & challenging in different areas, lightly trafficked, just a really enjoyable trail to hike. I would suggest starting on T93 and then T92.

Trail was well marked. More for mountain biking but still fun

Started at T93 and the hike up was good. You will know when you start the steep assent up to the top. It can be steep at times but manageable. Once you make the top, the views are great. At the top, you will see the split where T93 crosses with T92. Once you start the steep descent down, it can be very rocky. The last 1.3 miles or so is basically a dirt road loaded with rocks of all shapes and sizes. Footing can be very unstable at times. That made the trail less enjoyable.

Did this in reverse, making for the hardest climbs up front. Beautiful views continuously.

Highly disappointed. Walking trail we picked went along backyards. Little shade, and good luck finding a map and dust in-between my toes.

It's amazing that minutes from the village you can hop on this nice trail and be in the national Forest. It's a well marked trail with just the right amount of challenge for a family or "older" person.

We started this hike late in the afternoon with our 8 yr old and 4 pups. It was a moderate hike with some areas being a bit steep. Overall a great hike with some really nice views. Very few people on the trail which made this really nice and enjoyable. I would recommend using the map in the app because there are some areas where the trail splits. It took us a couple of hours but we took our time to enjoy everything.

We hiked this trail in June with temps in low 80s. It is indeed a mostly moderate trail but there are some very steep climbs and some of the terrain going down is steep and very rocky and slippery that are a bit challenging. Take a hiking stick for stability. We would not recommend taking your dog without some little dog booties due to the parts of rocky terrain. most of the hike is shaded and beautiful. We saw an elk and wild turkey. when you reach the top of the mountain, make sure you take the correct turn to go back. glad we had this app to help us ensure we were on the correct trail as we did make a wrong turn and had to double back. overall worth the hike.

Color isn't the only reason to go. Shape could also be a reason. Put both together and this trail is irresistibly calling, and you're still ignorant of the path itself, which I'll leave as a mystery yet to be trodden.
Regret even in a midsummers day would be challenging to attain. Not many hikes in NM with a palette so diverse and surrounding landscape so beautifully minimalist. This is a hike that a hiker would be negligent to miss...

great ride as long as you go early. Can get hot.

Great walking tour through a city with an amazing history. I stumbled upon this by accident and was thoroughly impressed by this “secret city“/“atomic city“! Definitely do this if you are in the Santa Fe/ Los Alamos area and make sure you hit the science Museum as well.

Interesting trail. We had no problem finding it.

Nice hike and some good views! Some spots of loose rock/gravel.

great way to train for marathons, bike races or even just a walk with the family. I live on the west side and have done this trail from beginning to end for years. It is big enough that provide different experiences and accessible enough for even the most casual of hikes.

Did this loop (T92->T93) with my wife and sister-in-law, all of us avid hikers, on a beautiful winter day, highs in the 60s. Must say, not our favorite. Heading up the "easy" T92 is fine, although you're hiking up the canyon, basically spending time in or crossing the wash, replete with rocks and stones. But that was trivial compared with the "difficult" crossover and descent down T93! Very rocky and a bit hard to follow in places (good news: all seem to get you back except the branch at the top you need to pay attention to). For sure, hiking poles help. Vistas are great albeit partially blocked by trees. Good for one time we all agreed.

We started at T93 and hiked the loop to T92 back to our car. Spectacular views, and signs of wildlife everywhere. Well marked, aside from a few wooden trail signs knocked over, but just follow T92 and you'll stay on track. Time well spent, phenomenal hike.

love it, multiple trails, great scenery. a vault toilet or outhouse would be nice, but not available. parking is level and we'll maintained with 2 covered picnic tables.

Great trail, took my wife and kids.

My husband and I really enjoyed the 5+ mile loop. It was definitely moderate with some steep uphills and loose footing in places. The views were awesome. Would do it again for sure

My girlfriend and I hiked this trail mid-day in a Friday. Did not encounter anyone. The trail wasn’t to bad to hike and had great views, Overlooking the forest and within. We came across plenty on wild life and was able to hear an elk close by but did not see it. I recommend this trail if you are in the area. But it can be difficult if you’re not in decent shape.
