Enjoyable hike with pretty views. Trail is well-marked. It is uphill for the first half, but not too steep or difficult. We finished in about 3 hours going at a leisurely place and stopping for lots of pics.

My friend and I attempted this trail on 10/15, but only ended up making it to the saddle due to time constraints and because we were pretty much smoked by the time we got there :) We used the AllTrails map and did not have any navigation issues. There are a few stray trails in the lower desert portion, but the cairns will generally keep you on track. Take everyone’s advice and wear pants as the trail is very narrow with a lot of cacti and other prickly plants along the way. Lots of scrambling and very steep once you get to the mountain. Also lots of loose rock, so you have to be careful on the way down. We enjoyed the portion of the trail we did, but come prepared for a workout!

good trail... harder to find trailhead but realized it was through the residential area. only saw one other couple. Great 5 mile hike.

Awesome views and trail. Bring your water did this early and enjoyed the sunrise. Bit of a challenge but trail in good condition.

One of the most beautiful trails in Aguirre Springs. Although it was a rainy day, we enjoyed a lot the astonishing vistas of the pine tree forest and the rock formations, a wonderful landscape!

This is one of my favorite trails, beautiful landscape with canyons and rock formations.

The views were great.

Slightly tricky to find trailhead, it's near the group sites, and the trail fades in and out a bunch and is somewhat overgrown. My legs were a little scraped up from the overgrowth. however it had some great views. if I were to do it again, I would take the Sugarloaf route at the sign as the route more towards pine crest loop trail wasn't as interesting.

Great hike. 2 1/2 hours stopping for lots of pictures. Take breaks! went early saw the sunrise on the drive to and that alone worth it. Not a soul around, nice. Wear hike boots.

This was our first hike as a family and we loved it! Beautiful scenery and not too hard, though I'd definitely recommend wearing good shoes. The waterfalls and Stone ruin are so worth it! We saw a variety of birds and have seen Mule Deer every time so far. Well traveled trail, but very Rocky in places.

Tip: if you're going after the waterfall and Stone house, follow the trail to the LEFT until AFTER the bench...we went RIGHT at the first fork and ended up going the LONG way around haha

Not too challenging. Old ruins of a hotel at the top which I beautiful.

the trail is fairly easy but kinda hard to tell where you're supposed to go in certain places, the cave is very, very underwhelming, but I saw deer on this trail so that gives it some bonus points.

it's a nice, easy walk but you do have to pay to get in

why pay $5 for dripping springs when you can come right next door to soledad canyon for free?! it has better views and a better waterfall as well. I highly recommend this trail.

Loved this hike! When you get to the old kitchen/dining hall stay to the left and go up to the top of the falls area, there is a retention pond and beautiful views!

Nice views. Good Trail. Clearly marked. Cool historic sites.

Great hike, make sure you have 5 dollars exactly to pay for parking at the station, it has to be left in an envelope. It's very easy to get off the trail, so pay attention.

This is the second time I have done this beautiful trail and again I loved hiking and admiring the mountains and rocks of this wonderful place. The trail is long but it is worth it, I enjoyed a lot.

God is good !!!

$5 “parking fee” and worth every penny. The trail itself was very gravely, making me wish I’d opted for my actual hiking boots rather than tennis shoes. There was a moderate climb (600ft in about a 1.5 miles). The spring was indeed dripping, albeit softly and slowly...but nonetheless dripping. Altogether a good break from freeway driving that won’t kill your ETA.

Really enjoyed this trail. It was so hot, but the views the whole way made it worth it.

Beautiful scenery! Great to do early in the AM. Some parts were strenuous, but overall good hike! Breathtaking view at the highest elevation.

Awesome trail! Great one to do early in the AM and to take visiting friends and family. I'd go on it again.

In our 60's now, my husband and I walked all the way to the old sanitorium. It is well worth the hike to see the history that exists in those mountains. The structures, for the most part, are well preserved. It's amazing to even think how people could live up there so many years ago. As a side note, the office personel are very friendly and excited to speak about the history of the area. Taking family up there next time. Loved it!

Nice moderate hike with beautiful scenery and an awesome view from the summit where you can see both El Paso, TX and Las Cruces, NM. Beware of rattlesnakes in summer and fall.

First time here and it couldn’t have been better! Easy enough my wife and mother finished it, yet challenging enough that my cousin and I were able to enjoy it. We went at two different paces which makes it great for all levels of experience.

definitely moderate difficulty & poorly marked but gorgeous views

Love this Hike! The views from above the Sanatorium are amazing!

Great trail! Not to be taken lightly though. My friend and I took our 3 dogs expecting it to be much easier than it was and ended up using all of our water on our dogs and not much on our selves. But still a great hike and amazing views!
