A nice easy trail especially since it was the second we had done that day. Always good to get to see a remote lake.

Very nice hike. Several pools to choose from. The main pool had a couple of naked men in so my wife and I chose one of the others. It hadn’t rained in a while so we had no problem getting there in out Jeep Wrangler. I could see how the road could be bad if it had rained. We met a couple of ladies that said they took a different road the was improved all weather.

Nice trail short the springs were clean and clear. The was was as warm as a nice warm bath.

Nice trail. The switch backs get you near the end, but the view at the top is worth the effort.

Loved it! Almost 7 miles is a long trek for a beginner hiker, but I made it and will definitely do it again. It was just beautiful!

I've been to Pecos baldy lake once this summer (Memorial Day) and then hiked a different loop (Cave Creek/Horsethief Meadow/Dockweiler/Jacks Creek) but again camped at the junction of Dockweiler/Jack's creek in August. There actually was water both times but the creek runs dry intermittently. In May and August the creek was dry where the trail crosses the creek, but if you go upstream like 20 feet there is water flowing. Not sure how it is this fall though, if anyone knows please comment! We're planning on heading there one more time this season.

Welcome to paradise where the views are unbelievable and the birds eat out of your hands. This trail is marked so well, definitely a good hike. We took our 7 and 2.5 year old. They did great, the 2.5yo had to be worn in a backpack carrier on the way back but so worth it. There is construction in the beginning but once you’re past it, it’s beautiful. Super grateful we got to experience it, plenty of friendly hikers along the way.

Wife wasn't a fan of the road up, but the view is great. It's a nice walk, some wildlife, and plenty of sky. The drive is about 10 up and 10 down, fee is 15, definitely worth the stop. Little shop in town was nice too.

Great little trail. You don’t have to work hard to get beautiful views of the surrounding area. A variety of cactus. Not a ton of shade but if you go early enough it shouldn’t be an issue.

Made an overnight loop going past Lake Katherine to Spirit Lake then merged back with the main trail. Forested section to Spirit Lake was boring, but not difficult at all. Going up Santa Fe Baldy is worth it.

strenuous hike but well worth it!

Great trail. The last bit before you arrive at the summit ridge isn’t easy, but the views from the peak are great.

I hate switchbacks (around mile 7), but I’ve done this trail several times. Absolutely worth it!

Nice jaunt through the Sandia Foothills.

Beautiful views!

great trail. Other worldly.

Very hikable with baby carrier and 4 year old. Great cave at the halfway point, but could not find anything resembling a waterfall where trail supposedly ends. Late sept 2018.

Gorgeous hike! Little shade, but amazing views and foliage in the summer.

Beautiful but challenging trail. Started at the lower Tramway Trail so we were 5 Miles in when we met La Luz. I don’t advise that unless you are well prepared. The trail seems easy at the beginning but there are challenging elevated rocky areas to climb so wear appropriate boots. Take plenty of water (we did 6 liters and it was just right) and snacks. It needs so maintenance in some areas but that’s part of the fun. Don’t be shy about taking breaks! We did 23 Miles total between 4 trials and it took 7 hours.

Guys, this place does not allow dogs. Only found out when we got here.

I’m sure it’s a great sight to see the Tent Rocks, will have to come back another time minus the dogs!

Easy but very interesting trail with many small cliff homes to explore. The Alcove ladders are long a steep but very safe and well worth the climb. Fun and interesting walk.

Nice, easy hike through slot canyon with very interesting geological formations. Very crowded by still worth it. Go early because the park rangers can close the trail at any time - the day we hiked they were stopping everyone near the top by 3:30.

A relaxing jaunt through the foothills.

Great views! Will definitely do again.

Incredible hike. Started at 9am and the weather was comfortable the whole way up. Mountain provided plenty of shade. I actually split off at the end of the La Luz to go up to crest and think it was worth it. Had a nice lunch at the Cafe at the top and then took trail along the ridge over to the tram. Allowed me to knockout the stone cabin as well. Adds about 2 miles, but if you have the energy I'd recommend it.

It was an easy trail for kids!! Still curious to find out how people were able to make it to the base of the falls. I did not see a trail leading down...

Great weather and a great hike!

Not quite “easy” but definitely recommended!

Should be rated moderate. As it seems to be the case with All Trails, mileage listed is shorter than actual. I recorded something closer to ~7.7 miles. I prefer to go counterclockwise on the loop.
