Dog friendly, easy walk for daily exercise.
Awesome. There was a few unexpected "treats" found along the trail. I will definitely do this one again. like someone else commented about this area, it is a little noisy, even way up there. It would bee nicer to get away from it all, but this has it's positives
Great paved and unpaved trail for walking, running and biking. Lots of wildlife and nice views. Lots to explore.
Excellent easy walk. Lovely views. Passed some mountain bikers, and dog-walkers. Do be sure to watch where you step.
Attempted to visit this location, but it closed too soon after I would have begun the trail. It is in a residential area.
nice time out and back. worth doing!
Nice mix of ups and downs. Easy to merge into other trails to make it as long or short as you want.
Today was the first time we've rocked this trail and surely will not be the last. I got to rock it with beautiful snow and ice accents leaving me excited to see it in all seasons. Rock formations, several small waterfalls, views and some amazing trees, now make this one of my favorite trails. We meandered counter-clockwise this time and will try clockwise next time even though difficulty level in either direction seems similar.
Super easy trail with great views! Only went in about a mile due to lots of snow and wind, but it's definitely worth revisiting.
beautiful trail. Definitely recommend a hiking stick of some kind even if you pick it up along the way. Currently the snow is melting and it is awesome. Do need to scramble in some places, the rocks are extremely slippery at times and it is very hard to get a grip on them.
Hiked all the trails in the area. Lots of fun. Carry plenty of water.
Great, easy trail.
Excellent easy trail with mild inclines/declines and nice views. Some of the trail is narrow, but manageable. Completed at a leisurely pace in under one hour.
Nice hike out of a neighborhood with a gradual elevation climb to wonderful vista's of the city and backcountry. Snow was mostly melted off today.
It was a great trail !! Enjoyed it all through !
Pretty tough with the ice.. do your ankle stretches!
Good walk, had my Girl Sophie out but definitely needed her shoes. Sharp lava rock all throughout but gives a beautiful view of the city from the topside.
Really liked the trail that broke off to the left of this trail up by wood fencing. It looked around and went back to the car. Some big boulders. Muddy with some snow and snow melt in January.
Great paved trail for walking, running, biking and horseback riding. We also brought our dog along on a leash. Lots of wildlife and views of the bosque and Sandias.
Fun trail great views of ABQ!
Airecka R. on The Volcanoes Trail
This is an easy walk with a beautiful view of the Sandias. The trail is moderately trafficked. There is no shade so it is best to visit during the cooler months or in the evenings.
Conquer the Alameda to Corrales section of the trail with my wonderful women’s hiking group and friends… Beautiful day and beautiful sites to see! Great trail!
