Awesome hike, 4.4 miles round trip. No bugs did this hike in September not sure if that’s why. my dog had a great time.

Absolutely loved it. The trail was easy to follow, got there early so it wasn't too hot. The views are breathtaking, and very much worth the work to get up the trail.

Very nice trail that offers a steady uphill hike once you very about a half mile in. Be sure to go a bit past the top of the Piedra Lisa North trail and scramble up to sit a while on the rock outcropping there, which offers a lovely 360 view.

Great short walk. Saw coyotes, hawks, and lots of jackrabbits. There's no shade, of course, so this one is best early morning or late afternoon/early evening. The signage could use some repair but otherwise great.

Very pretty! Mosquitoes!

Perfect afternoon hike! A nice short incline to great views!

This was a very easy - moderate trail. I started at 8 am in August and took my time waking and taking pictures and finished about 10:30 ( I went slow look and pics). Bring water and there is a bench half way to rest. Great hike for families with kids (no strollers or bike).

A solid hike. It’s kind of hard to follow for the first 1-2 miles because of other trails that join or washouts. I would recommend a gps device. There are some solid views of Albuquerque but the trail doesn’t really go anywhere unless you continue up the La Luz trail. The parking at the tramway is now $3.

The first .5 mile you won’t immediately see petroglyphs, but you start to see more after that. It was an enjoyable hike!

This trail is beautiful and shaded most of the morning. We got to the trail head at about 0630 and had shade till about 0900. Get there early as the parking lot was full by 0900. We did not see any bugs at all. Bring water and a snack to replenish your energy as this climb is steep for about 2 miles. We are out of shape and in our 40’s, so this hike kicked our butts a bit. Beautiful views of the city at the top.

The New Mexico Veterans Memorial Park deserves a good, long, contemplative visit. The rest of the trail goes through homeless camps and trash.

Too many mountain bikes. Trail is awesome.

Nice wide trails for the most part with very nice footing underneath made up of dirt & decomposed granite. Quite a few mountain bikers are on these trails as are many people running & hiking them. There is some shade in places, but not like being in a forest so I suggest sunscreen, hat & water. Suitable for everyone. When you get to Elena Gallegos park, there are shelters, picnic areas & bathrooms. There's even a spot with 2 hitching posts & a picnic table. Since these trails cut across arroyos, be aware of changing weather conditions up on the mountain!

There are a lot of dog walkers on this trail. Anytime you think the sky looks pretty, this is the perfect trail to jump onto for a bit. It’s very open, there are homes on each side, and a bear statue once you get to Tramway.
