Awesome trail.

The New Mexico Veterans Memorial Park deserves a good, long, contemplative visit. The rest of the trail goes through homeless camps and trash.

This trail was not at all maintained. It was unmarked and completely overgrown, as well as infested by mosquitos and other bugs. We had bites ALL over our bodies. Not worth it.

Nice and easy "hike" very flat but it brings you right up to the Rio Grande. A little sandy, and a creek to cross if you go off the beaten path. We took the paved path back, which was nice. Watch for bikers.

A nice shady morning walk. We took the bridge over the canal at the North end and took the dirt trail on the East side of the canal where there were no bikes.

Half of the trail was flooded when I went.

Visiting PopFizz to get a palleta and ice cream with my son pushed it from four to five stars.

I wouldn’t make a trip here to do the trail but the memorial was great.

I would recommend this trail to anyone of any skill level. While strollers wouldn't be advisable, no reason why kids couldn't go on the trail. The path is Walmart and primary composition is decomposed granite, which drains quite effectively. Didn't encounter any mud, which is a Plus. It is advisable to keep a weather eye out as the mountain will ring any moisture out of the clouds. The trail does cross quite a few arroyos and it would not be good to be caught in one during a Flash flood. Very enjoyable hike.

I enjoy most of this trail, as it is fairly quiet compared to other city trails. It can get busy at times, but it is still typically pleasant.

Was a very pleasant loop. Honestly, it’s more of a walk than a “hike”. But still had nice views. $3 to park. Don’t know if I’d pay three dollars to do it again but if you want a nice walk, in a safe area, this is a good place to do it. Watch out for horse poo!!

This seems to be used primarily as a neighborhood dog walking path. There is lots of evidence of dog use along the trail so watch where you step. There is a decent playground and a large open grassy area in the small park.

Great paved and unpaved trail for walking, running and biking. Lots of wildlife and nice views. Lots to explore.

Attempted to visit this location, but it closed too soon after I would have begun the trail. It is in a residential area.

Nice trail within the city. Nice views. Very safe.

Easy walk without elevation gain. Lots of dogs and people along the trail as well as bicycle riders. Veer off trail to the Nature Center and learn about the surrounding vegetation. Also fun to watch the turtles in the channel.

Nothing taxing about this trail. Weather in late October was perfect. Fall color in the cottonwood trees was spectacular. There were lots of bike riders and not too many hikers. You can take your pick of distances. Very do-able with kids and dogs (old people too)!

A number of different tracks here between a stream and the Rio Grande. Choice of sand and paved trail. Excellent for running. Biking too.

A nice hike with good views. I'd say it's more of an easy than a moderate hike. A section of it is paved, but most of it is just dirt. My only issue is the amount of bike traffic that runs along the 341 stretch.

Easy access to the river make this trail worth taking. Best done either early in the morning or mid autumn. I plan to go back during a snow fall.
