Better than expected! This quiet hike is a former golf course with plenty of parking and a mostly paved trail that provides a good workout due to some of the hilly terrain. Path does have many offshoots so I wouldn’t recommend doing it the first time without this app. The place definitely needs some signage. I liked coming upon some water areas and crossing bridges. Looking forward to going back again.

The place is in dire need of a good map and better signage.

it is very hard to figure out where you are I wish somebody would have saved the Golf Course scorecard to show everybody how this course is laid out but I did my best to look for a waterfall which there is none I didn't go on every Trail but the people that I did see that I've lived in this area for a long time said they've never heard of a waterfall here all of the pots are paved and you can see where people have made their own paths in the dirt it started to rain while I was out so I did not go on the dirt paths but it is a nice place you don't have to worry about chiggers or text a lot of people there's a lake people fishing license or a photos which I will post as well bless you

Clean paved trails. Fun for an easy day with kids and a dog.

overall it was a good trail but definitely needs to be better marked. It was very easy to get lost as we ran into multiple people who were wandering trying to figure out how to get back to the parking lot. There is one trail that is marked but with so many paths you can easily loose track.

Great experience for beginners looking for some incline challenges in South Jersey. We hiked this former golf course in the evening hours and hoped for some more shade. Nevertheless, an enjoyable hike!

Did some trail running... The trails are old asphalt in okay condition. Lots of hills cut through the state park. I went on a Sunday morning in August with absolutely beautiful weather! I passed about two dozen hikers, dog walkers and a couple runners like myself. All in all, it is a good trail to connect with nature and give yourself a moderate challenge if you're running it. I'll be back again soon.

does anyone know if there are waterfalls on this trail? I've seen pix but no comments or reviews stating that there is?

It was decent but wish it was marked a little better. We ended up accidentally getting off the trail we wanted to stay on.

A good place for a little exercise. Like Cares park nearby, one can add some ups and downs for more exercise. The trails are largely paved being old golf cart trails from when this was a golf course. We did see 2 beaver here and one came within a few feet of me as it worked it’s way downstream. If you can push hills, this one would be wheel chair accessible. There are some loops that you could use if hills were a problem.

We decided to take a walk around Tall Timbers on this beautiful June day. It was exactly what I expected, having played golf there many years before it became a protected area. My only complaint is that the trail marking is not always that good. Other than that, it’s beautiful. I can’t believe how much the old course has grown over.

it's all paved and pretty boring tbh

Could be a little better marked. Wanted to do the full loop, but ended up getting turned around at one point. Loved it though!

Pretty cool trail given the location, but I think a lot of the reviews are for the other Timber Creek park

Short easy hike. Watch out for territorial attacking rooster.

I wanted to try out a new pair of hiking boots close to home, so I headed to Tall Pines. At first I felt a little goofy wearing boots on a paved trail, but I’m glad I had them for the weather once I got into the wooded area. There were quite a few stretches that had snow, slush, ice, puddles, and/or mud. The green trail provides a nice walk, even with a few hilly sections and crossing the creek several times over foot bridges. There are a few places along the route where you are near houses or can see the road—but lots of peaceful places too.

BIG TIP, go during sunset! You can definitely get it done in 1 hour so start about 30 minutes before the start of sunset. It is really beautiful to just stroll through. It really does't even feel like you're in the Deptford area! Wouldn't really consider this a hike, but if you need fresh air and the outdoors, this is a wonderful place to go.

This former golf course is a very nice place to walk. The trails are fairly well marked and paved. My only words of caution are there are areas along the creek that are prone to flooding. Recently, one bridge was under water and the trail beyond the other bridge was flooded. These conditions limits access to about half of the (green) loop trail.

We do talk lines on the regular. It’s a quick, easy, but beautiful walk with some hills. The dogs love it and there are always a lot of dogs on & off leash here. Also different water for fishing and dogs to swim!

Was a Nice walk this morning. I think there could be a few more trail markers .

This trail is easy and relaxing with tons of wildlife and ponds filled with fish. If you're looking for a casual hike through nature I highly recommend Tall Pines
